5.0 out of 5 stars Jam to this one in your car, January 21, 2002

Usually, when hearing the sounds of a local band, you can understand why they are still a local band. I was introduced to these guys by a friend from their hometown of Jacksonville, FL., who explained to me that no one outside of Jacksonville knows who they really are, but for me to give them a chance regardless. All i can say i that i am now completely consumed by this cd. It's incredible. Without prior knowledge of their title of a "local band" I wouldn't have been at all suprised to hear them blaring from the radio. The harmonies are great and you can not help jamming along to their songs. An all around awesome cd. Completely worth your money. My mission around Houston is just intoducing the cd to people and it's challenging to find someone who doesn't like them. Buy it, jam, and enjoy!

Inspection 12 is such an awesome band. They always put on a great show! In Recovery is the best cd so far, and I am so happy to share their music in Memphis. The boys are so nice and sound great! I love Elegy.
Play those drums in heaven, Scott! We all miss you and fall in love with you every time we listen to the cds!

5.0 out of 5 stars The local scene in Jacksonville rocks...., November 13, 2001

Inspection 12 is the hotest band in Jacksonville, "In recovery" is their best, in terms of best quality but their ond stuff is more punk rock and raw. But still, Sweet Sixteen is very very catchy, but I like it all. And they are amazing in concert, I saw them back in September at 618.. it rocked. They have 2 shows scheduled now- one this Friday the 16th at Marque with Voo doo glow skulls and one at Kona on the 24th. Inspection 12 is great.

5.0 out of 5 stars fresh sound straight out of Actionville, June 4, 2001

You all definitely have to buy this CD. Most of the songs are remakes off of their earlier releases(which you can't get on Amazon, unfortunately) but they sound extraordinary. If you're sick of punk bands playing cookie-cutter guitar chords and singing redundant lyrics, then check out this band. Each song is very unique. The guys of I12 are excellent and talented musicians. They're young, but they've been through alot, so check 'em out. If you get a chance to see them live, support them and go to their shows. You won't regret it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Simply Amazing, June 3, 2001
This review is from: In Recovery (Audio CD)
I got into Inspection 12 by way of their bassist's work with the band Craig's Brother. That bass player, Dan Mclintock, played the guitars on CB's most recent album and co-wrote a few tunes as well. I heard that his full-time band, Inspection 12, was ready to release an album on Honest Don's so I decided to check it out. I wasn't totally sure about buying it, but believe me, it was WELL worth the money. As the title of my review states, this record is simply amazing. From beginning to end it's a joy to listen to. Fantastic harmonies, catchy guitar riffs, and great songwriting are all things you will find on this album. My favorites include "Secure," "Sweet Sixteen," "Photograph," and "Great Scott," but every single song on here is awesome. Buy it now!

5.0 out of 5 stars It's Inspection 12!, May 29, 2001
By A Customer
This review is from: In Recovery (Audio CD)
I've been an I12 fan for a few years (I graduated in '99 with one of the guys), and have been anxiously awaiting this album since I heard they got a record deal. I was not disappointed. In Recovery is mostly made up of spruced-up versions of songs off of 3 of their independent efforts. There are 3 brand new songs, all of which I love just as much as my old favorites. The songs are fast and catchy, and the guys' wonderful harmonies make them stand out from other punk groups. I'm listening to the last song on the album as I write this and am getting ready to start the whole thing over again. I definitely recommend this album to not only punk fans but music fans in general. It's hard to pick a favorite out of all these great songs, but some highlights are Secure, Secret Identity and To the Victor Go the Spoils.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fabulous album, March 26, 2007

I can't praise this album enough. Great vocal harmonies, catchy riffs, good lyrics, ...many of these songs continue to be staples in my daily playlists, even after listening to them for years.

But the best way to get you to believe me is to compare this to other albums that you may have already heard and love. Other stuff that I generally mix with this are Bleed American from Jimmy Eat World, Rock and Roll Part 3 from Ozma, and The Blue Album from Weezer. Give it a chance, you won't regret it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great pop-punk, February 25, 2003

Inspection 12 put out one incredibly catchy cd. It goes by fast and the sound is varied very nicely. The song lengths vary and they don't stick with one formula. They are unique because all 4 guys in the band sing in this cd, and all 4 of them can really sing. They mix their voices together nicely to create incredibly catchy harmonies. Red Letter Day is a song that people who listen to all types of music can like. The lyrics are haunting and beautiful. Other standout songs are Elegy, Hear Anything? and Secret Identity. I could have easily listed every song on the cd as a standout song. Buy this cd.
