5.0 out of 5 stars So far I am impressed with this product., February 12, 2010

My horse has a bone spur on his right stifle. Before starting this product the shoer could not lift the right leg more than 6" off the ground to work on the foot. After the first month on Recovery EQ the horse was comfortable with the leg being held at a normal height for working on it; more than a foot off the ground.
I haven't had another xray taken yet to check on the bone spur but I am thrilled with the results so far.
Pricey but may be totally worth it.

4.0 out of 5 stars Trying a 'Recovery' from old age, December 17, 2009

I actually use this for my dog, but as a large breed, it's much cheaper than canine formulas. My vet recommended this for joint support. My dog has had 3 major ortho surgeries and now I'm trying to minimize my use of Rimadyl. I wish it were more of a miracle for old age, but it's possible that without it, we would be much more infirm. I suppose it's enough of a miracle that I'm just giving Rimadyl PRN instead of daily to a 12-year old orthopedic disaster. I can tell it's not their favorite supplement as far as taste, and I must mix it with something to get the 9-year old to ingest it, but it seems to help. If you are using it for dogs, put a small amount in a container for daily use. The remainder, tightly close and put it in a ziplock bag. Moisture in the air will make it gel into a solid block that you have to break up otherwise. I'm sure with horses you use it rapidly enough to prevent this, but a jar will last a dog owner a very long time.

5.0 out of 5 stars Recovery EQ, September 5, 2010

This product was recommended to me by my veterinarian for my 23 year old mare who is getting somewhat arthritic in her hind quarters. The results have been astounding! Within 2 weeks she was moving much looser and not as stiff after riding on mountain trails. Even her farrier commented on the difference in her flexibility when shoeing her. I recommend this product whole-heartedly! I administer it according to my vet's instructions, which are somewhat less than the product instructions suggest, which helps to make it more cost-effective for me while still meeting my mare's needs.
