About the Author

RON LUCE is the founder and president of Teen Mania Ministries, a youth organization that has hosted more than 400 events around the world since 1986, reaching 1.7 million teens with the message of living completely abandoned for Christ. He is a prolific author and a sought-after speaker who has traveled to more than 50 countries and been a frequent guest on The 700 Club, Focus on the Family radio broadcasts and the Trinity Broadcasting Network. Ron earned a master’s degree in counseling and psychology, and was awarded an honorary doctorate by Jerry Falwell from Liberty University. He was also appointed by President Bush to the Advisory Commission on Drug Free Communities in 2002.

Careful, it is hard to tell that this is only a study guide. You have to buy the other book in addition to this one.

I reviewed the study guide, DVD and book. Although the book is great on its own I believe the study guide and DVD enhance the overall experience. The DVD has for each session 4 small videos: an intro, one or two short videos, and the closing statements. I will say that the speaker, Don Luce, is not the most dynamic speaker, in fact I thought he looked a little uncomfortable in front of the camera (However, in his defense I, too, would be uncomfortable in front of a camera opposed to a live audience). However, it is evident in his speaking where his heart is. The other clips are absolutely astounding and will stick in the participants head for a long time afterward.

The book is a battle cry for parents to claim the hearts of their children. It has certainly made me more aware of the subtle attacks of the enemy. As a youth worker in our church I found this invaluable.

This is a must have book for anyone who is raising children. this book was really eye opening about how the world has an influence on our children these days.
