Using my Lacrosee BC-700 battery charge/test function, the 4 "AA" batteries were charged as follows:

Battery 1 = 2,150 mAH
Battery 1 = 2,200 mAh
Battery 1 = 2,130 mAh
Battery 1 = 2,180 mAh
This is better than its rated 2100 mAh.

Recyko is the low self discharge nickel metal hydride battery manufactured by GP (Gold Peak - a Hong Kong based company). It performs comparable to other low-discharge batteries from Sanyo, Rayovac, Duracell, Yuasa, etc. It does not look as sleek and sexy as the Eneloops or the Duracells, wrapped in unassuming thin metallic plastic. But for sure pack a lot of juice for the money. Made in China.

I purchased a set of those GP Recyko NiMH Pre-Charged Rechargable AA Batteries one year ago. Initial testing, using my La Crosse BC-900 Battery Charger/Analyzer, showed that they have an average capacity of 2228mAh, or 6% higher than rated capacity of '2100mAh'. At the time, this was the highest capacity I measured among all low-self-discharge AA cells. Since then, I have found other LSD cells with even higher capacities, including:
- IMEDION AA 2400 mAh low self-discharge batteries (measured capacity ~2450mAh)
- Sanyo Eneloop XX (Rated 2500mAh, measured ~2600mAh)
However, the GP Recyko is still a very good value since it can often be bought for much lower cost.

One interesting thing I noticed is that: those GP Recyko cells are identical to the Kodak Pre-Charged cells, both electrically and mechanically. This is actually a good sign, because I have used many Kodak Pre-Charged cells (both AA and AAA) in the past 4+ years, and every single one of them is still working fine.

Long-term charge-retention rate for GP Recyko batteries is as good as that for Sanyo eneloop.

I've been using about 30 Recykos for over a year and have not had any problems with them. They are very comparable to Eneloops, which I also use. The Recykos seem to be very slightly fatter (and hold a little more juice), but so far I have had no difficulty inserting them in any device. Given the lower price and high quality, I think the Recykos are an outstanding value. They are made in China by Gold Peak which has a good reputation.

Bought them for my wireless apple keyboard and trackpad. They perform great and last as long as alkaline. They are the same as eneloops but cost less.. saved me some money!
