Fasinating local history,
A Kid's Review
This review is from: Red Arrow: The first hundred years, 1848-1948 (Interurbans special) (Hardcover)
This book has excellent photos that are rare and tell a story each within their own frames. This book tells all about the Red Arrow Division prior to becoming Septa but the local history throughout the neighboring Counties is incredible. If you are a local history buff or have a natural curiosity as to what Delaware County looked like over one hundred years ago, then this book is a must!!

THE book about suburban Philadelphia transit.,
This review is from: Red Arrow: The First Hundred Years 1848-1948 (Hardcover)
This is an excellent book, filled with pictures and a historical narration of the Philadelphia Suburban Transportation Company (Red Arrow Lines). A must-have for any Philadelphia-area traction fan. It covers the period up through 1948.Was there ever a sequel written to cover 1949-1968? One is led to believe that there would be, but I've never seen it. |
