5.0 out of 5 stars A refreshing and amusing story for kids and their parents, May 4, 2000
By A Customer
This review is from: Red Berry Wool (Hardcover)
A jewel among the throngs of stories that have no moral or lesson for it's reader. The lamb's behavior is so typical of a young child just discovering his world and wanting to be like the one he admires. His innocence in his pursuit to have a "red berry" coat like his friend is amusing. He finally discovers that he is happy as he is as long as his friend is near.

This review is from: Red Berry Wool (Paperback)
Beautiful story and beautiful illustrations make this book a treasure to keep for generations to come. It is a pleasure to read to your little ones and very touching. I think all parents should have this wonderful book, however, you are a fiber artist (knitter particularly) this story is an absolute must!

5.0 out of 5 stars Always loved, July 24, 2009
This review is from: Red Berry Wool (Paperback)
What a wonderful tale of a lamb that found he was loved no matter what trouble he found himself in! Christian folks will appreciate the symbols of Jesus Christ and those who seek to emulate Him. Others will appreciate the lessons of love and commitment.

I have read this story over and over to my six year old son. The painted illustrations by Tim Coffey are absolutely gorgeous. The colors are so vivid, and the paint textures pull the viewer into the landscapes. Dusk is my favorite time of the day. Tim Coffey has captured that glow felt by fall's sunsets.
