5.0 out of 5 stars Phenominal second single!
This is the second single off Kylie Minogue's newest album release, Body Language (which was originally released in 2003 outside of the USA, but was released in early of 2004 in the USA).

This is one great CD Single! $11.99 for 6 tracks? Well worth it!

This is the second single off Kylie Minogue's newest album release, Body Language (which was originally released in 2003 outside of the USA, but was released in early of 2004 in the USA).

This is one great CD Single! $11.99 for 6 tracks? Well worth it!

01. Red Blooded Woman - The album version. This song is so great! Very upbeat and a great song to dance to....not to mention this song isn't doing too badly on the Billboard Radio Dance Chart (but watch out Kylie! Dannii's right behind you! It only took a whole year for Billboard to recognize Dannii's single tho, so... we'll see how it goes) lol.

02. Cruise Control - This is a different version of the song that was originally issued onto on the U.S. edition of Body Language. This version is extended and features a rap, including a few litte "zoom zooms" done by Kylie. Listen to it!!

03. Almost A Lover - A previously unreleased song, many Kylie fans who have heard this song absolutely love it. It's kind a slow, more (I think, IMO), 80s type of song. This is a nice gift for Kylie fans.

04. Slow (Chemical Brothers' Mix) - This is a GREAT mix of Kylie's first single off Body Language, Slow. Really great to dance to! If you want more great remixes like this, buy the Slow CD Singles (1 and 2)!

05. Red Blooded Woman (Whitey Mix) - Eh... I'm hoping this mix of the title track won't be hitting radio stations anytime soon. Personally, I don't like this mix. It's just really long (5 minutes) and really boring. Stick with the Slow mix!

06. Red Blooded Woman [Music Video] - Ah yes....the music video itself is also on this CD Single! It doesn't get any better than this. This video is pretty amazing and has been on heavy rotation on VH1, for those who watch. The video pretty much takes place on the streets and in an underground dance club. Pretty cool! A nice treat for Kylie fans.

This CD also comes with Wallpaper (a still-shot from the RBW music video).

Kylie Minogue is definitely one of today's hottest artists. She's beautiful, she's a great performer, and her songs are totally sizzling. This is the CD Single to get!

I was very disappointed with "Slow" being the first single from "Body Language." Although it had a cool groove, it was not radio material. This is much better. "Red Blooded Woman" has a dance/R&B vibe to it and is very catchy. I myself am kind of sick of it cuz I played it out after buying the album but it's still an awesome track and I hope US radio picks up on it. If you loved Britney's "Toxic", you'll love this. Also, check out the remixes on here.

P.S. "You'll never get to heaven if you're scared of getting hiiiiiiiigh...." *it's a line from the song, not a drug reference, people ;)*

5.0 out of 5 stars Kylie at her best..., May 20, 2004
By A Customer
This review is from: Red Blooded Woman (Audio CD)
Kylie's never been content with repetitiousness, forsaking redundancy in favor of experimentation. After finding long overdue success in the States with disco-pop cotton candy confections "Can't Get You Out Of My Head" and "Love At First Sight," Kylie has chosen to branch out into something new, rather than recaptiulate the formula that brought those successes. The result is Red Blooded Woman, an extravegant experiment in synthesizing R&B (or R&B Kylie-style) with 80s electro-pop grooves, containing clever, surreptitious lyric references to Dead Or Alive and previous Kylie hits "Spinning Around" and "Can't Get You Out Of My Head." The aftermath is edgy, sexy, catchy; in short, pure pop perfection, and my favorite Kylie Minogue single. At least give it a listen.

5.0 out of 5 stars RBW: Great song, ULTIMATE CD Single verson, March 27, 2004
By
Josh Andrews (El Paso, TX USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Red Blooded Woman (Audio CD)
This 6 track CD single of Red Blooded Woman is the best one featured on Amazon.com. It comes with the album track, "Red Blooded Woman", Kylie Minogue's second single off her newest album Body Language (which is A LOT BETTER than "Slow"), a non-album track "Almost A Lover", a new version of "Cruise Control" (the song was originally only featured on the U.S. release of BL), a remix called "Red Blooded Woman (Whitey Mix)", and the mesmerizing music video itself for the lead single.

"Red Blooded Woman" is one of Kylie Minogue's best song. It's definitely one of the best songs off her latest album release, Body Language, which was released outside of the U.S. late of 2003, but was released in U.S. with two bonus tracks and two music videos in early 2004.

The music video will make you love "RBW" even more, and you'll be dying for more Kylie!

The song "Cruise Control" on the CD Single is not the one featured on the U.S. release of Body Language, but an extended version featuring a rap and a sexy "Zoom zoom" provided by our very own Kylie (the rap isn't done by Kylie, just fyi).

This CD Single also features a song not released on any version of Body Language, a song called "Almost A Lover" which makes this CD Single a *must have* for any Kylie fan.

There's also an official remix of "RBW" on this single, the "Whitey Mix", which isn't at all a bad mix.

The enhanced video is a music video of the lead single, "Red Blooded Woman". What's there to say? The video is magnificant. You'll have to see it. So, if you want to, buy this CD single, or just watch VH1 a lot (for some reason MTV won't play any of Kylie's videos.....so, they're obviously missing out. Too bad for them!)

** OVERALL GRADE: 4.5///5 **

Red Blooded Woman is definitely better than Slow, and you'll fall in love with this CD Single!

This is the version to buy -- other CD versions of "RBW" are either 2 track or 3 track CD's....and hey, this one's a 6 track CD that goes for the same price as the other ones! So why not?

5.0 out of 5 stars Kylie's 2nd Body Language single., March 17, 2004

This review is from: Red Blooded Woman (Audio CD)
This is the Australian cd single for "Red Blooded Woman" and so far is the only cd to have a remix of the song. The cd somes with 2 mixes of the track-single version and the electro dub-like mix(Whitey Mix-5:19) that is great. You also get the bonus tracks "Cruise Control"-which is on the US Body Language cd and "Almost A Lover" which is really good. The main reason to buy is the inclusion of the FULL length Chemical Brothers remix for her number one club track "Slow". This mix is over 7 minutes and sleeks around almost as good as the Radio Slave Mix. Excellent track.

4.0 out of 5 stars A Definite Grower, March 9, 2004

Upon initial listen to Kylie's criminally underrated BODY LANGUAGE, this track stood out as one of the weaker offerings among many of the more electro-fueled tracks, despite fitting more snugly into today's musical climate(and maybe a more obvious choice as the album's first single). Several listens on and it's definitely a slow but steady grower, not as ace as the previous "Slow" but still pretty good, and is in fact one of only a couple of really R&B "leaning" tracks on the album, not to mention undoubtedly the biggest concession to current musical trends. On the other end of the spectrum, it's also one of the few tracks in which the singer provides a more full-bodied vocal as opposed to the kewpie doll cooing that's going on throughout much of the set. All in all, another solid release(although there are at least three or four better potential singles to choose from on the album).

5.0 out of 5 stars You'll never get to heaven if you're scared it getting high!, May 16, 2005

Rising Star (Crossroads, TX) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Red Blooded Woman (Audio CD)
Body Language was the year for Kylie to express another side of her. Crossing from her pop roots to a new border of RnB, she expands her territory. Red Blooded Woman, the second single to be lifted from her Body Language album, was a good choice for a single due to be Kylie's sexiest video from the BL singles. The single is far more versitle and exciting than the rest to be released (Chocolate, I Believe In You). I will briefly describe each track:

1.) Red Blooded Woman (Album Version) (5/5) 4:18 - This is the 2nd single from the Body Language project. Sounds like Pt. 1 to her "Cruise Control" in which I will get too a little later =) The song is is pop meets RnB with the rythmic of her lyrics. It has catchy hooks, beats, and vocals. Alot of background effects, "Count backwards 5,4,3,2,1/before you get heated and turned on." she says. You know after hearing the first line, you're in for an exciting song.

2.) Cruise Control (Single Version) (6/5) 4:25 - This is the single version. The album version (more like an radio edit) is on BL (Canada/US). This version is her deepest R&B track on her Body Language. Very so like hip-hop beats, not pop at all. Kylie has un-cutted raps and an uncredited male rapper is also in the song. The song is the best on the album. "The Cruise Control/Ready, get set, go/You drive me crazy boy/I like it racie boy/On cruise control/We've been on a roll/Feels like the speed of light/Sit back and enjoy the ride." The best non-album track on the Red Blooded Woman single.

3.) Almost A Lover (5/5) 3:40 - This non-album track would of fit perfectly with the BL album. It's a cross breed between "Secrets & Promises". Very 80s retro pop, deep electronic slo beats and has sexul de-lite vocals. It's a shame sometimes her B-Sides are better than "made the cut" songs.

4.) Slow (Chemical Brothers Remix) (5/5) 7:13 - What makes this album a gem is this remix. The Chemical Brothers Remix features on tons of albums like "Queer As Folk" and "Ultimate Dance" albums. This song is the best of her remixes from the BL singles, and is more electronica than any other song featured her on the album. It's a floorfiller to Techno/Hi NRG and radio friendly. The fact is, the reason why this single was sold far superior was because of the Chemical Brothers remix. Excellent work Kemical Brothers!

5.) Red Blooded Woman (Whitey Mix) (5/5) 5:24 - This is the only remix released on the Red Blooded Woman Single. The Whitey Mix is like an "dub" with razor guitars in the background, and the only vocals that are repeated are "you'll never get to heaven if you're scared of getting high" and "girl wants to rock with you". The only downfall to this song is that the full lyric isn't here. But for as the creativity for it's haunting, revengeful rockish, electric sound is absoutely amazing. A sexy dancefloor groove track =)

6.) Red Blooded Woman (Enhanced Video) (5/5) - Simply the music video to Red Blooded Woman (Album Version). The video is more noticeable for the catchy dance hooks, and sexual tone. Different from her past videos, but also is a great beginning to an introduction "Pre-Madonna" video.

This single is absolutely amazing. You're included the CD itself, but also a lustful CD Cover of Kylie. Very astonished with this single. Should of been an mini-LP album by itself. I highly recommend this single to Kylie's fans.

Red Blooded Woman is by far one of Kylie's best songs. It is a great dance track and she is absolutely beautiful in the video. If you buy this cd you get the album version as well as the Whitey Mix, not the best mix out there, the enhanced video, and what I think is the main reason to buy it the full length Chemical Brothers remix of Slow. The only flaw with this cd is that it did not include the Red Bloded Woman Narcotic Thrust remix, for those who had never hear this mix it is simply amazing.
