I used it for a 16 inch disco ball and it was too fast. It only has one setting so you're stuck with that one speed. I don't recommend it at all.

This item does the trick if you're looking to motorize a wind spinner - like if you want to use it in the house or in an area that doesn't get much wind, like a patio. My one caution to anyone purchasing this item is that it's big! It's almost 8 inches long, and 2 inches in diameter - so putting a small spinner on it can look a little silly. The on/off switch isn't difficult to operate, but often out of reach because spinners hang high. The battery life varies depending on how big/heavy the spinner is that it's moving - so I recommend using rechargeables.

Bought a circular suncatcher that wouldn't spin without the motor. Found this motor and bought enough to have for a while. Works great. Goes sort of fast but it does the trick.
