More About the Author

Brendan Carroll was born and raised in Southeast Texas, finally ending up in the beautiful Texas Lake Country. Throughout his scholastic career, he wanted nothing more than to tell a good story, get a few laughs or give a few frights. After high school, he joined the US Navy and spent the next four years serving the country in the fighter training squadron VT-86 out of Pensacola, Florida. In college, he majored in Environmental Science and Geography with a minor in Geology and ended up with a teaching certificate for Secondary Earth Sciences. After one year of teaching fourteen and fifteen-year-olds, his desire to inspire young minds was laid to rest and he took up a position serving the State of Texas in the Correctional Field. In his spare time, he has produced over thirty novels which are currently being published in Kindle format as well as paperback at a much slower pace. His one aim is to entertain the reader with a good tale and hope that they may get something more from his work than just a laugh, a fright or a sigh.

Once again, Brendan Carroll gives us another exciting (and twisted) ride with the indomitable Knight of Death as he goes after his lost love intending to marry her with the permission of the Order of the Red Cross of Gold. The problem is that its been seven years since he's seen his lovely lady and she has a surprise for him. Not only does she have a surprise for him, a couple of his Brothers of the Order are hell bent on stopping the marriage because they think it will bring about the destruction of the Order. They will stop at nothing short of crucifixion to get the Chavaliere Ramsay out of the picture. In the meantime, some of his true love's former associates are determined to extract the secret of immortality from him by hook or by crook. While all of this is going on, his most beloved friend and Brother of the Order betrays him in the vilest manner possible. Meredith, who is caught up in the middle of all this becomes a victim of her own emotions. The ending will leave you surprised and breathless and ready to read more about the adventures of the poor Knights of Solomon's Temple. Extraordinarily good!

Yet again, I find this book impossible to put down.

Mark is drawn back to Texas to propose to the woman who was the root cause of so much pain in the first book of the series. He must truly be a masochist! (Well, emotionally anyway...) At any rate, he brings his closest friend and brother, Lucio, to America with him.

Lucio's desire to be just like the man that he most admires leads to some sticky situations. Even with his "well-meaning" errors in judgment, Lucio easily becomes my favorite character. His charm and charisma are second to none and he is the light where Mark is the dark. (That's not to say that he is without a dark side as well.)

I have a hard time imagining anyone not being able to enjoy this book!

I was convinced when I read the first book that Brendan Carroll was onto something, but honestly did not think he could outdo himself... WRONG! This book is even BETTER than the first! The story moves forward with purpose. Not only did I get sucked-in with this one but I read it all in record time because I was preparing myself for the next book. I fell in love with the sexy knights and could not believe I was torn between which hero I wanted the sweet Texas girl to fall for. In this book I started hating characters that I originally loved and vise versa. Never has a book touched so many emotions in me as a reader... I caught myself wanting to make a phone call to the author to ask WHY he did THAT to this character or that... but only because I had already become so involved with each character I felt like I knew them...and of course books three forward were purchased BEFORE I finished this one. I just did not want to be somewhere wondering what in the world was going on with MY characters without being able to access them immediately...sad but true... I am hooked...DANG IT!
