This is one of my all-time favorite songs. It's about how she's dealing with conforming to the rules of those around her, but keeping her sense of self. "Anytime I think that I might drown in all this standard issue gray . . . . I put on my Red Dress" I think anyone feeling trapped by life's circumstances and/or small-minded people will find shelter in this beautiful song. |
