My nine-month-old son truly enjoys this book. First of all, its plastic pages withstand not only water but also tiny teeth, so I don't have to worry about him "eating" the pages as with other books. Secondly, he pays close attention while I read the book to him; while there isn't much of a storyline, the phrases form a catchy rhyme. When we are done reading, I allow him to play with the front cover which has a squeaky detachable fish for him to chew and a squishy fish scene to feel. I recommend this book to any parent of a baby who loves to chew on books - this one is engaging and quite durable!
