In this episode of the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation's Red Green show, the fellows from the Possum Lodge all offer to help a friend who inherited a cow to butcher. And while that plot line naturally fails to go anywhere, Red Green's nerdy nephew, Harold, emcees a game show, and Red ventures outdoors to show his technique on the trampoline. The loopy humor continues as Red bravely hosts a segment in which he interviews a man who is "following his dream" by pumping out septic tanks. Rounding out the weird fun is Red's handyman segment, in which he shows how to make a headstone out of old car parts.

In a second episode on this tape, Old Man Sedgwick has a problem when he discovers a live badger in his pants--and the oddball humor just gets stranger from there. Inspired by the unfortunate badger incident, Red makes an animal trap out of a pair of old trousers and a dryer hose. The sight gags are all low-tech and seem to be held together with Red's old standby, plenty of duct tape. And the jokes emanating from the Possum Lodge are so bad that they're hilarious. --Robert J. McNamara

From the Back Cover

The Beef Project: Junior Singleton inherits a cow from one of the local farmers, which leads the men of Possum Lodge to offer to butcher his inheritance for him. In Adventures With Bill, a trampoline helps Bill relieve some stress while Red makes a tombstone out of car parts. The Badger Project: Old Man Sedgwick gets a badger caught in his pants, and not surprisingly, things don't go well. Trying to capitalize on the unfortunate situation, Red makes an animal trap with trousers and a dryer hose. Meanwhile, Bill has an eye-opening adventure with some snakes.

This review is from: Red Green Show: Beef Project & Badger Project [VHS] (VHS Tape)
The beef Project has to be one of the

funniest of the very funny Red Green

shows ever done! For those that haven't

seen it yet, I won't dare give away the

puchline(s)! Once again, Red Rocks! I

just wish my favorite band Cheap Trick

still would! Another story for another

rating...
