Would Make A Good Album, July 1, 2001
The Get Up Kids are the only band I can think of that makes better singles and bsides than the songs in their albums. If you took every single and bside song by them and put it all together, that would be their greatest album. But for now we have to settle with the Woodson/RLD compilation, still very much worth the buy. This CD allows you to hear both the whiny and wussy styles of GUK at their best. The Woodson songs are similar to those of Four Minute Mile and the RLD songs are similar to those of Something to Write Home About. This CD would make a good album if it had some more songs to it. My favorite songs are any of them involving Massachusetts and Forgive and Forget. So if you're a GUK fan and don't have Woodson or the Red Letter Day Single then definitely get this.

Woodson? More like GOODson! ..uh..nevermind., May 16, 2001
Listen up people, if you ever get sick of your CDs and you're like "Dude, all rock sounds the same, I wish I could find something new," then my friends, I understand your pain. But luckily there's a cheap & easy solution. Open the door, stroll on up to your local record store and look for the combined EP's of Woodson and Red Letter Day. (If they don't have it, simply suckerpunch the weakest-looking clerk in the face and hope to God he isn't packing any surprises. After the chaos subsides, politely ask him to order it for you.) This is such a damn good CD, and one of those fresh breaths of air that we all need from time to time. These guys can work lyrics like nobody's business--on paper, they almost appear to be a short, poetic essay. But take them off the paper, toss them into your CD player and you'll find that they flow with the music, beautifully and seamlessly..It's obvious to tell they put actual thought into what they're singing. To top things off, it genuinely rocks. It's such a brilliant and hard to find mix..one that can actually make you mellow out and rock out at the same exact time. There's something very special about that. I wish the best of luck to the band and hope they continue to get the recognition they deserve. Buy this CD!

One helluva CD, March 2, 2001
A while back on a message board that I frequent, I remember hearing quite a bit about The Get Up Kids and the emo style of music. I was hearing nothing but good things about these guys, so I picked up this CD the other day to give 'em a try. I must say, I was impressed. I generally like heavier music, but I'm open to different things--and this is different. The songs are, for the mostpart, softer and sometimes slow, but this is still a great CD for almost any music fan.If you like emo, or want to try it, pick up this CD. You won't be disappointed.
