Product Description

Size: 1 Gallon (128 Ounces)

Red Line's 75W90 Synthetic Gear Oil is their most popular gear oil, and is the preferred product in nearly all car and light truck differentials, both conventional and limited-slip. 75W90 is preferred for most racing applications. It contains friction modifier which is recommended for limited-slip units. 75W90 Gear Oil can be used in many transmissions and transaxles; however, other Red Line lubricants have better frictional properties for rapid synchronization. Exceeds API GL-5. Red Line's Synthetic Gear Oil's are designed to provide the highest degree of protection and greatest efficiency for your drivetrain. Red Line provides a complete line of drivetrain lubricants which are optimized for differential, transmission, or transaxle use over a wide range of temperatures. Proper selection depends upon the manufacturers' requirements and whether the application is for passenger automotive, commercial, or racing use. Red Line Gear Oils contain polyolester base stocks to provide excellent lubrication even under extreme conditions of high-loading and high- temperatures their natural lubricity provide excellent slipperiness which reduces the sliding friction in hypoid gears to reduce wear and temperatures. The synthetic base stocks have a natural multi-grade property, so large amounts of unstable thickeners are not required to manufacture Red Line gear oils, which means that Red Line gear oils will provide a stable viscosity for even extended periods of use. Red Line also manufactures gear oils which can be used in limited-slip differentials without the use of additional friction modifiers.

Though it's pricy, I feel it's good insurance to use top quality lubricant.

I recently switched to Red Line products for all of the maintenance activities on my vehicles. I used two gallons to change the diff lube in my 1997 Toyota 4Runner, and both the front and rear diffs on my 2008 Suzuki Grand Vitara. Both maintenance jobs went well without issue. I made YouTube videos featuring both maintenance jobs using materials purchased on Amazon, and they can be seen at: watch?v=UYrSfBGCJSI&list=UUSZgIbvZItJr78kHY3Y9wnA&index=1 and watch?v=W_dbLQdLdtQ&list=UUSZgIbvZItJr78kHY3Y9wnA&index=4

I pull a 4,000 lb boat with my Infiniti QX56 AWD. Limited slip differentials. Changed gear lube at 38k, and there was a teaspoon of sludge on the magnetic bolts.

The car had begun to have a slight "frumping" sound at 40-50mph. Changing gear lube quietened it down to the point of almost going away.

Is Red Line any better than another good synthetic? I have absolutely no idea. In a car that costs $70k, I'll stick with a company that has a reputation like Red Line.

BTW, I called them and asked for a product recommendation. They could have pushed their most expensive product. Very nice folks, and they said this would be fine for my car and usage. 5 Stars.

I previously had a Toyota Tacoma TRD that I used this in and it worked well. I currently have a Toyota Tundra TRD DC and I used this in Front, Rear, and TC. Trucks seems smoother now, but maybe its my imagination lol. I have two and a half gallons left over, so I'm going to put this in my 91 Supra LSD and save some for later!

I have used this product in the rear diff. , of my 06 Tundra. I have the limited slip rear end that normally requires and additive to keep it from chirping. With this synthetic gear oil no additional additive is required! It ran smoother than it did with whatever Toyota put in it at the factory. No slipping. No chirping. I am very satisfied with redline 75-90 synthetic gear oil. a good buy.

Pricey but you get what you pay for. I've been using this in my 2002 Dodge Ram and the differential is silent with no leaks at the outer seals.

I use this in all the Mercedes I own. Half the cost of MBZ brand, and RedLine is better oil.

I've tried to use Red Line oils in all my transmissions, differentials, steering boxes, etc. for many years. I have older vehicles and have had little problem with failures in these components. Though it's pricy, I feel it's good insurance to use top quality lubricant.
