I purchased three pair of knee high socks for my 24 year old granddaughter who asked for some "fun" socks for Christmas. She happens to wear a size 11 shoe, and I noted that most socks available in stores wete the one size fits all kind that I knew would not be good for her. Plus she is very tall and thin so average doesn't suit her in any way.
When the socks arrived here, I thought they suited her, and from what she said on Christmas, they did. The true test will be, I suppose, whether she seeks to buy more.

As stated in previous reviews, I love knee socks. I really like these. They are heavy weight & very warm. They are a little big in the foot section and I have to fold them over, but that's to be expected when you are on the lowest edge of the size range & short. They stay up, I love the weight, & I love the colors. I recommend them highly.

My HS volleyball girls chose this sock to go along with their uniform. The socks looked great, however, they weren't 'knee high' on some of my taller girls (5'10). In fact they didn't even fit their full foot, and we ordered the larger size. So I had some girls with the socks well up to their knee pads, and my taller girls with them to their mid-shins. Our other teams ordered similar socks from the same company, just not off of Amazon.... and they fit perfect... not sure if I just got a bad batch of socks or what...
