"The Concubine's Daughter" by Pai Kit Fai is the story of three generations of women in China and Hong Kong. The youngest was given the martial arts name Red Lotus very late in the narrative -- so I ordered "Red Lotus" thinking it was a sequel, only to find that it is the EXACT SAME NOVEL as "The Concubine's Daughter" published under another name by another publisher with another ISBN number. I am deeply disappointed that Amazon would offer this book with no clue. This was a rip-off.

I loved this book. It details the events of the lives of 3 generations of women in China and the hardships they all face. There is just so much in this book that you have to keep on reading.
