Wow, I'm flashing man!,

Hot Dawg! Here's one way cool release from Mr. Saxon & friends and a total flashback to a time when music was still good. Apart from the modern sound quality of the recording, it sounds like it was written & played in 1967. The trademark Seeds FUZZ & cheesy organ are all there --- in spades! Lyrics are great, check out "Fools on Capital Hill" and "Judge with a Bomb". Especially a hoot is "Violet Ray" -- any song with fuzz 'n' phasing about flying saucers & world peace is OK in my book.
Songs run from red-hot surf-style pounders with lotsa shouts, laid-back bluesy excursions, syrupy Doors-style crooners, and even a nice stoned country-rock ending. This is good stuff, course I still listen to all my old Seeds wax anyway. I'd rank this slab right behind their debut. These guys definitely don't need any formaldehyde to keep going.

GREAT FUN WITH BRAND NEW SONGS THAT SOUND AS IF THEY ARE FROM 1963-1967!!,

This is an absolutely wonderful album!! I somehow missed this release in 2004. I bought the CD and the vinyl last week and have played them every day since then.
Everything about this is just great. The digipak CD opens on the left AND on the right for a double spread. The CD itself is designed to look like a 45 single. The music, the performances, the lyrics and the sound quality are all top notch. I grew up in the 1950's and during the 1960's I bought every rock and psychedelic album as they came out. This album is a missing link with new songs sounding EXACTLY like songs circa 1963-1967 with emphasis on 1965-1967. The standouts for me are "Fools on Capitol Hill", which was valid in the 60's as much as it is today; and "Uncertainty" with it's unrelenting organ and fuzz swirl. But every cut is enjoyable and fun. And that's the key: fun. That's what made buying albums in the 1960's so enjoyable and that's exactly what this album offers. Sample a few tracks, or better yet just buy the 2 tracks I mention above. Once you hear them you will definitely want to buy the entire album. Right now there are sellers on Amazon offering brand new copies of this CD at insanely low prices. Pick one up- you'll be very happy you did!

Excellent Sky Saxon disc,

Sky Saxon was an original and this album, along with his Transparency release show that the rock veteran still had a lot of visionary ideas to share with us. I'm glad Amazon chose to utilize my editorial review from A M G on their site. This is a record that remembers a key point: that music is supposed to be fun.
