5.0 out of 5 stars Red River can be considered one of the best mangas, January 13, 2007
This review is from: Red River, Vol. 15 (Paperback)
Now I stumbled on Red river by accident and sure am happy that I did. It is a great story and it makes it very difficult for you to put the book down once its in your hands. The story has so many twists and turns that I can honestly it will be unbearable waiting for the next volume to come out because every Red river manga ends in a cliff hanger.

Yuri is a girl from the present world that gets dragged into the past literally. She meets Prince Kail and becomes the admiration of all man. She is a ver ygood model of what a woman should strive for. Not only is she kind but she is also strong and just. She teaches the hittites much including the New King Kail.

I don't want to give anything away but I just want you all to know how really great this story is and it would not be a waste in buying the series.

I hope this review was helpful.

5.0 out of 5 stars Girl Fight!, May 12, 2007
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Red River, Vol. 15 (Paperback)
In this volume Yuri faces several princesses who have joined Kail's seragilo. Kail wishes to make Yuri his wife, but first Yuri must show that she can run the seragilo without anyone's help. The princesses cross the line when they threaten Kail's security and peace of mind, and Yuri quickly handles the situation after learning, from Kail's ex, why Kail has never dismissed her. It is also made clear just how much the Hittite Empire worships their beloved Ishtar as the Empire fears for her health. This series is a must-read for fans of both manga and history.

5.0 out of 5 stars Sex, Lies, and Harem Intrigue, November 6, 2006
This review is from: Red River, Vol. 15 (Paperback)
In this volume of Red River, Yuri is being tormented by five of the seven princesses that vie for the honor of being Kail's Queen. Yuri overcomes these petty, immature power plays, but then the princesses start to get murdered one by one with the signs all pointing to Yuri. Nakia of course is involved and the search for the real killer takes up most of the volume. Finally the killer is found, but Yuri is now in the clutches of one of Kail's trusted generals that has been brainwashed by Nakia. What will happen next. Volume 15 is great because you get to see the power plays that take place within a harem, a spicy scene between Kail and Yuri, and a flashback pic to see Kail and Zannanza as little Princes. I can't wait till the next volume.
