I got this book today (and actually read it along with the preceeding six books) and in this volume we have Kail wanting to marry Yuri and Nakia scheming to kill her yet again. I wouldn't say that volume 17 is great, but perhaps that's because its clear something big is being set up and will take place in volume 18, which is not due out til July. Yuri and Kail's love continues to grow though, and while volume 17 doesn't focus heavily on it, like a few volumes that preceed it, they do have some tender moments. This volume deals a lot with the impending war between the Egyptians and the Hittites, at the end Ramses says to himself that he will have another chance with Yuri, as he was not aware that she remained with Kail it seems, so in book 18 we should prepare for lots of Ramses and Yuri moments, and Yuri was none too pleased that she would have to see Ramses again.
