Top critical review
Content 5 stars, hard to read on Kindle 1 star, average 3 stars
on August 21, 2014
I am a huge fan of Red and Rover, but had never seen any of the earlier strips. This is a repeat review as it is similar to my review of "Waggin' Tales". In Dallas, we only get this strip on Sunday. I now understand the history regarding squirrels and how Rover saved Red and was adopted by Red. So I would give 5 stars for content. The difficulty I had is that my Kindle, and I now have a new White Page Kindle, lacks sufficient contrast to actually see the cartoon strip with any clarity, let alone read the small text. Buying hard copy would have been the better bet, especially if you are not price sensitive. I think there is particular value to hard copy editions of strip cartoons. Kindle is not a good medium for cartoons.
