First, thanks Sundazed for the reissue. This is a great singalong-like album. This was fun music in a fun music era. The band came up with some interesting sounds and made great use of their talents. While Red Rubber Ball Turn-Down Day were their two big hits their other album tracks are noteworthy,
I was lucky enough to talk to Marty Fried (Cyrkle drummer) and he spoke with me about the band and the fun they had. He was kind enough to send me a tape of early Cyrkle (Then the Rhondells) studio songs which they played in their Atlantic City days.
The linear notes are exceptional. Don Danneman, Tom Dawes, and Fried took great care in their selections and the Cyrkle sound.
Money To Burn and There's a Fire in the Fireplace are two of the better cuts off the original album.

A delightful period piece from the summer of 1966, and a stronger-than-expected collection of sunny folk-rock with great harmonies and subtle psychedelic tinges. The original LP is fleshed out with seven bonus tracks, some from as late as mid-1967, most of which are quite good and the last of which is an excerpt from a 1960s radio interview. The booklet notes are quite excellent.
