First of all, let me say, I have a great deal of experience with reef aquariums and protien skimmers and I am very hard to please. I was looking for a skimmer for a nano tank (24 gallon Aquapod) and I wanted something a bit better than the single pass biocube skimmer and I did not want to spend over $50. I have always had frustrations with inexpensive venturi skimmers so I thought I'd give this triple pass air driven unit a try, and I have not been disappointed. It started skimming within an hour and it has been skimming consistently ever since. Once you have the air adjusted it requires no further adjustment and it produces a nice dark skimmate. AND, there are NO stray micro bubbles in the tank! Very pleased.
