I must confess I was a bit weary towards purchasing or even listening to bands based in places where nothing decent has ever been made. Just for curiosity I managed to hear some of Red shift, and after a couple of listenings I was really blewn away. Every now and then, just when you expect that metal music is really getting boring, bands or gems like "Red Shift" appear. It must be some kind of natural process that people cannot control. Anyway, after a couple of listens one can really grasp the true potential of these spanish guys, and I must say "Red Shift" has become one of my favourite albums, one that I always take on me and my discman to work. Metal with strange sympho-psychaedelic ambiance that grooves you to death and leaves you shivering by the heights. The really scary thing is that the potential behind the song writing is just special and really big, as the variety and versatility makes it all like one of those journeys you never want them to stop. The only thing I can say is that you read some of the awesome reviews this rather unknown band has to make you purchase this blast of a record.

It is just incredible these guys are not at the top, let's hope ime will prove them right and give them what they deserve. Have not heard any older material yet, but I gather they have some other Cd's. A sure shot indeed!

I've read really good remarks about this band but it wasn't till I actually heard the music in the Radio that I was decided to buy this. Really stunning metal full of spacey and aggressive psychadelic influences, as well as some kind of weird ambiance that makes this album an essential to metal listeners. It needed a bit of patience to really dig into the real music behind this band. It is really fascinating how in the middle of nowhere land (of metal) a band of such grandeur can arise, also thanks to the help of a decent label. I sincerely hope people don't give it a miss so we can hear more about this band. I'm sure their new album shall be absolutely thrilling, even if the weariness of people towards weird-place bands come from.

5.0 out of 5 stars AWSOME!, November 20, 2005
This review is from: Red Shift (Dig) (Audio CD)
This cd is awsome... I guess you could/would classify this music as Gothic black metal..

from the first song to the last song its just a memorable cd... if they had the samplers on here u could get a hint of the music... but they dont but if i had to say what they sounded like it would be a classical (infulenced)emperor mixed with thy serpent..

but highlights for me are would be the 1st song with the catchy tripple picking rythm and the second song for the great melodic choirs behind the vocals...

GREAT CD!... i love these guys now...
