2.0 out of 5 stars Don't bother, August 18, 2008
This review is from: Red Solstice 16-pc. Dinnerware Set
I purchased these about 18 months ago. I have broken 2 bowls, 4 of the small plates and 1 large plate. The 2 bowls were my fault, but the plates all broke so easily. Once I was cutting a piece of chicken with a steak knife and the plate broke. They have even chipped in the dishwasher. They are way too large. We hardly ever use the large plates because they are simply too big. We use the small plates for all of our meals. I mostly use the large plates as platters. They are pretty but I'm sure there are much better quality out there.

4.0 out of 5 stars Worth it for me. (see below), August 18, 2008
This review is from: Red Solstice 16-pc. Dinnerware Set
Ever since dining at the wonderful bohemian Natasha's Cafe in Kentucky, I have looked for a similar set of dinnerware. I am pretty frugal by nature and was delighted when I found this set at a local Goodwill for $10. Of course, one of the smaller salad plates was chipped, but it was still a fabulous deal. Since then, I've bought some of the coordinating pieces from Target.

I have moved three times in the four years I've owned this dinnerware, and have lost two other small plates due to poor packaging on my part.

The dinner plates are too big and are rarely used, but nice when you want to impress someone or use them as platters. The mugs are sized nicely to actually be used and not just take up cabinet space. The smaller plates and bowls are perfectly sized for me and get 80% of the use of the set.

If I had it to do over again, I'd go with a similar style but sage green, but otherwise I have no complaints. The quality is pretty good and I'd have no problem replacing this set at full MSRP, but as always keep your eye out for a deal.

5.0 out of 5 stars i love these dishes!, November 12, 2007

I bought these dishes about two years ago, and love them. They are sturdy and do not break too easily. I have broken 2 bowls since buying, but that has been my fault. I am going to be buying another set.
