Manga nonsense,
By danny boy "dbswongv" (Singapore) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Red Sonja: She Devil with a Sword Volume 5 -- World on Fire SC (v. 5) (Paperback)
If you like RE Howard and Conan, you will be sorely disappointed by this offering. Don't be fooled by the cover. This is a manga comic book and is written for a juvenile audience.
By the time you reach volume 5 of this series, it would be pretty obvious that the whole package is done in manga fashion, with totally improbable characters plodding from one episode to the next without any real sense of continuity or a discernible plot. Now and then, there is some monumental imagery of multi-dimensional scope (including an atomic bomb blast). The only manga things missing from all this drivel are the big eyes and the furry tag-a-along creature. |
