3.0 out of 5 stars RvB
It is a wrap up and it is OK. I loved the first and second season so I'm partial when comparing this the the other four.

In the concluding season of Red v/s Blue, Rooster Teeth has stayed true to its original characters and added some new characters that are outrageous enough to establish themselves in just a few short scenes. There is no doubt that these new characters will give the writers plenty of ammunition for future projects. Season Five has everything; love (or lust in Tucker's case), hate, mystery, intrigue, triumphant acts of courage, heartbreaking death of both human and AI. Of course there will be sweet laughter at someone else's expense.
The ending left me a little cold. At first I didn't believe it did the characters or the previous season's justice; but after listening to the commentary on the DVD, I believe the ending chosen was the best choice. Thankfully, this is the ending of the series and not the ending of all the characters we've grown to love in Red v/s Blue.
Caboose rules!

Finished the series off right. Great wrap-up of the show, awesome new characters, hilarious old characters. Highly recommended for those people who need to see how the show ends.

5.0 out of 5 stars Red Vs. Blue, a heart warming epic tale, April 7, 2009
This review is from: Red Vs. Blue: Season Five (DVD)
I really love this series. The characters are just so convinced of thier own ridiculous behavior, it's fantastic.

If you didn't like seasons one to four, your obviously won't like season five, but if you did like it then what are you waiting for? I will say this, the series ends on a huge down note but if you see Red VS. Blue: Reconstruction it gets explained and you won't be dissapointed anymore.

5.0 out of 5 stars Red vs. Blue's epic conclusion, August 8, 2008

This season is definitely one of Rooster Teeth's greatest. Filled with mystery, action, and of course, RVB's excellent brand of humor, season five is the perfect conclusion to the most celebrated machinima of our time.
Starting right where season four left off, we find a mysterious ship crashed in the middle of Blood Gulch with Private Donut supposedly stuck underneath. But further discoveries reveal an insidious conspiracy that could affect the entire galaxy.
Also included is the Xbox Live miniseries "Out of Mind" which chronicles Tex's journeys after she went off in pursuit of Wyoming in season four. While it takes a slightly more serious approach to the story, it's every bit as entertaining as the main series. It also answers some questions about the mysterious Freelancer program, while raising quite a few more (hopefully to be answered in Rooster Teeth's current project, RVB: Reconstruction).
With some (strangely) lovable new characters and appearances by old favorites, as well as clever nods back to previous episodes, this season will surely delight any fan of the series. It was a pleasure to watch and definitely worth purchasing.
