2 of 2 people found the following review helpful By Jerry DeRogatis on June 19, 2000
Format: Audio CD
Very rarely does a band come along that stops you in your tracks and makes you say to yourself "Holy (Whatever)!" Alaskan takes Crosby, Stills, and Nash's style of harmony to the next level. Their harmonies are haunting and breathtaking. If you've ever seen them live, you've experienced the feeling of "I can't belive my ears!" You can tell that they work real hard and are truely talented. The guitar work, as well as the vocals and rhythm section are really great but the best thing is that everything all falls together. The music will make you laugh and will make you cry. It will make you reminisce and it will make you fantasise. This is a different kind of band. They are not afraid to play the beautiful kind of music that mostly all other musicians are afraid to play - for fear of sounding too boring. This music is definitely not boring, but it is beautiful. I can't wait for their next CD to be released. I'd really love to jam with these guys! I know they're going to make it BIG! They deserve it.
