UB40's "Red Red Wine" is a tribute to the grating Neil Diamond. Ah,how one annoying singer passes on his great music to an entire ensemble of annoying singers! UB40's rendition of "Red Red Wine" IS a whine. It's soul without the soul;it's reggae without the spice. Red Red Whine makes one long for GREAT musical intoxication,to drink deep of Pink Martini or Senor Coconut's heady libations. It's as naff as reggae gets.
