Red Wing shoes are just the best. First week a little stiff an "hard", now they are walked in to fit. I will never buy other shoes then Red Wing.!!

The construction of this boot is very high quality. The boot is very comfortable and remarkably good looking. Recommend sizing down at least a half size as this boot fits rather large. Overall a great boot.

I love the look and feel of these boots...very well made.
They are all leather, including the inside, so they will take a little while to break in.
I made the mistake of wearing them out one night, and they rubbed my heels raw.
Otherwise I am very happy with these and I have a feeling I'll be wearing them happily for the next decade.

Great design, great boot, form and function -- the leather is super stiff when you get it, but give it time to work in. A nice touch are the leather laces, a classier step up from nylon laces.

The leather and the quality of this boot is amazing! Really love the copper color which brings out style and visual appeal to this 1907 Moc Toe Boot!

When you pull them out of the box, you can tell by the scent of the boot that these will last for a while! However, when I tried them on, TALK ABOUT OUCH!! The sides would jab my foot when I tied these boots and I couldn't EVEN STAND ON THEM!! (Like someone was jabbing your foot with a piece of sharp wood) but I found a trick to get rid of this initial discomfort. When you tie your laces MAKE SURE THAT your laces go from INWARD TO OUTWARD LACE HOLE OF THE BOOT! THIS HELPED A LOT AND REDUCED THE DISCOMFORT!! NOW I CAN STAND AND BREAK THEM IN! DO NOT ATTEMPT TO TIE THE SHOE LACES GOING FROM OUTWARD TO INWARD LACE HOLE UNLESS YOU DON'T FEEL ANY INITIAL DISCOMFORT DOING IT THAT WAY! The boots also come with fabric and leather laces in case you need to switch them! NICE! I have mines with the leather laces tied and look very nice with any pair of jeans I can throw on!

Also, I normally wear a size 9 1/2 and sized down 8 1/2 and they fit PERFECT! If I bought a size 9D they would have been big for sure! Depending on your width, be sure to size down at least 1/2 or 1 full size if your foot is narrow.

Shipping was very quick which was a surprise to me, and I was not upset with the quality of the product at all! I've owned a pair of Red Wing boots before these, but was browsing through different brands. This one seemed to be the best made boot I could find with the most comfort. I would definately refer to a friend!

This boot is not meant for heavy construction, very comfortable if you put an insert in the boot.
After about one month the sole is worn slick. I work on bridges an typically get 8-9 mos. Out of a pair, I seriously doubt if I will get 6 mos.
Ideal if you work in an office, but not a good deal for 200 bucks.
Over all I would give this boot a C-

Segmental Bill

First of all if you think you're going to take this boot out of the box and then have a good long walk forget it. These boots are solid, sturdy and made out of serious leather and you're gonna have to break them in gradually. As others have advised go a half size lower. I'm a 10.5 and ordered a 10. When I first put them on I thought uh oh I've made a mistake. First time on I could only wear them for 20 minutes. Well I've been wearing them longer and longer and I can tell they are going to be perfect when they're broken in. Invest in the full complement of Redwing boot care products. I'd advise anyone to purchase these serious, made in the USA boots

update-10/4 Looking back I probably should have got the 10.5 because my foot is closer to an 11. I really like these boots, worn them plenty and I've mink oiled the hell out of them but they're still not as comfortable as I'd like. I will order another pair of a 10.5's in a different color because theres no way I'm going through another break in period like this one

I already have some Red Wing Classic Boots, 4 pairs,
and I found different color of Boots and purchased this time.
I got Dark Brown, and it's nice color than I saw in the internet.
Normally, I purchase size 7.5 width E, but width E was not availbale this time,
so, I got size 8.0 width D.
Hope I can get use to it soon.

Overall, nice boots, too expensive for the features.

Pros - Well made, good quality. Fit is spot on.
Cons - Not overly comfortable first week, vinyl trim at top of boot the cause (it should be leather). Better insole needed.

Overall, good but would look for something else next time.. but I do expect they will last a long time.
