Book Description

December 12, 1987
When a party of French and Indians attacked Deerfield, Mass., in 1704, 49 people were killed, including Reverend Williams's wife and two of their children. Williams's life was spared but he was taken captive. This is the story of the massacre and William's eventual release in his own words.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great and Tough, June 5, 2003
This review is from: The Redeemed Captive (Paperback)
If you can read history books, this book is really a must for grasping the Deerfield situation from a first-hand perspective.

It is also difficult to read because of the language. But really, it's worth the work to get through it.

Great, moving.
