Redeemer has less sid than their previous album, Deus Ex Machinae, but still a very solid sound with deep lyrics. This band is underrated merely because they've held out for so long before signing with a major record label. Although they sing in English, most of their fanbase is in europe (sweden most specifically). I doubt their pro-mp3 status would survive very long in America. One thing that sets this group aside from any others is the sid machine. It was used in commodore 64 games and this is the only band i have found to date that uses it in a professional manner. I highly recommend downloading sidology episode 2 (trinity) from their website for a good example. [...]

I stumbled upon Machinae Supremacy on Youtube and was blown away by the music! Seriously, this band kicks all kinds of ass. It's a shame that not too many people seem to know about this band, because it seriously deserves much more recognition than its getting. MaSu is a highly experimental heavy metal rock band that utilizes the SidStation with their music, creating a unique yet effective (and by effective I mean kick ass) musical style that sets the band apart from all the others. The best way to label them would be SID Metal. The beats themselves are amazing and will definitely get your blood pumping, and the lyrics aren't too bad, though some are pretty impressive (the song Through the Looking Glass is a good example of both beat and lyrics). This CD is currently my favorite by MaSu so far, though their other two come real close. My personal favorite song by them (and one of my all time favorites overall) is the song Rogue World Asylum, where their use of the SID chip flows perfectly with the rock beat. I'd say that the only negative about the band would be the lead vocalist kind of sounds a bit whiney, but I don't really mind it so much since he does sing the songs well. The CD is loaded with awesome songs, the best of the CD I've already listed (though Ghost is also a really good one). To conclude, if you're into some real quality rock music then stop reading this and go buy this CD! You won't be disappointed. And check out some of their other CDs as well once you're finished with this one.

If you liked Machinae Supremacy's free promotional MP3s, if you were introduced to the band through Jets'n'Guns like I was, or if you're just a fan of rock and metal, this album will blow your fragging mind. The music reverberates into your very soul, you'll be humming and air-guitaring until your friends and family think you're schizophrenic. The strongest points of the album are definitely Through The Looking Glass, Rogue World Asylum, and I Know The Reaper, but it's all platinum among platinum.
