This review is from: Redeeming Alec (Kindle Edition)
This book was well written and creative. It had plot twists that I had never seen before, and I've read mysteries for years. You won't want to put it down until it's done. That said, if I could have given it a lesser rating and felt like I was being fair I would have. Ole Alec played the women for a living. He was a "bodyguard" for beautiful women and slept with most of them ( all the while knowing he loved his former partner). It felt an awful lot like cheating to me. But no, ole Alec came up smelling like roses because he hadn't been allowed to give hands-on care to his sick daughter. ( by the way he took off to be the paid lover of the rich a day before his daughter's funeral ) That's right, he didn't go to his own daughter's funeral, and yet nobody but his former partner seems to have trouble with that. Given his former lifestyle, it should have been harder to get out of the serious trouble he was in. Anyone of us would have been toast, but not Alec. I wonder if that had anything to do with him kissing the detective while he was seriously injured, in the hospital, while under suspicion? He played her, yep, he did. That said, do read this book. I'm trying really hard not to call him a man wh..., Oops there it is. Call it like you see 'em.
