From Library Journal
"How-to" books on marriage, even spiritually insightful ones, abound; but this new volume is genuinely original in both content and format. Taking its shape from the Episcopalian marriage service, it juxtaposes phrases from prayers and scriptural readings with brief narrative fragments to illustrate concepts the liturgy names. While some vignettes show potentially disintegrating unions, most depict moments of forgiveness and redemption between spouses amid life's otherwise alienating struggles. Especially unusual in its stress on supportive friendships, this is highly recommended. EC
