5.0 out of 5 stars An important, well-written work of theological scholarship, July 2, 2001
This review is from: Redeeming Memories: A Theology of Healing and Transformation (Paperback)
A seminary professor and Episcopal priest, Flora Keshgegian is a well-known figure in the emerging field of scholarship that applies trauma theory to Christian theology. This engagingly written book reflects her experiences both as the child of survivors of the Armenian genocide and as a college chaplain ministering to women who had suffered childhood sexual abuse. "Redeeming Memories" is a profound and insightful study that will appeal to a wide readership, especially people interested in history, psychology, and contemporary religious thought. Highly recommended.
