Book Description

Book 6 in the Cyborg Seduction series.Charlie’s brother has put her in the no-win situation of having to rescue a cyborg from Earth Government. It’s dangerous, she’ll become an outlaw on Earth, but it’s the only way to save her brother’s life. The imprisoned cyborg is rude, conceited and probably the biggest jerk she’s ever had the misfortune to meet. His only redeeming qualities are his handsome face and sexy, muscular body. Just wow! Still, she can’t wait to be rid of him.All cyborgs hate humans, but Zorus is consumed by it. Chained, enslaved and facing death on Earth once again, he vows revenge. To his utter astonishment, a human female comes to his rescue. She’s rude, mouthy and bossy. And very brave. She baffles him almost as much as she arouses him. Zorus cannot deny that he’s fascinated by her. They are about to lock wills and ignite a firestorm of desire that defies every rule he lives by.

5.0 out of 5 stars Better and Better! May 9, 2011
Format:Kindle Edition
I was dying to find out how on earth (or on Earth as the case may be) could the author make this character fall for a human! I really wasn't sure she could pull it off, nor did I think she would be able to top her other Cyborg stories. But she did!

My only complaint would be that I'd want a longer story. This is actually a two part complaint. The first is that I enjoyed it and hated for it to end--not really a bad complaint of course. There is also the slight little bit of me that feels like aspects of the story are a LITTLE rushed...but in the context of the genre (one I have named Sci Fi Smut) that is a little more acceptable. After all, we do need to get to the action (yes, the adult action).

For those looking into the series (and perhaps drawn by that cover picture) the Cyborg series' premise is that in the future Earth scientists were looking for a way to 'enhance' human material with computer components and genetic tinkering. The goal was to have a strong, disposable, powerful slave-labor force that would excel at hazardous duty and (presumably) in carrying out war. Naturally, the Cyborgs didn't see things the same way and eventually were able to escape Earth in significant numbers. There was an accident along the way to one of the two escaping ships which resulted in planets with significant gender inequalities...which led to some interesting social engineering.

Also, the Earth government wants a few Cyborgs back for additional torture/experimentation/slavery. Also naturally, the Cyborgs do their best to remain well away from humans...and many/most have a pretty deep (and justifiable) hatred for humans.

Each book has focused on a main Cyborg character and how he ends up falling for an Earth female and how they have hot sex.

5.0 out of 5 stars GREAT READ, FANTASTIC SERIES!!! May 11, 2011

All I can say is....WOW! I was anxiously awaiting Zorus's story and the author did not disappoint me. I wondered how in the world would Zorus ever allow himself to become attached to a human female and why would a human female ever want to help him. I really haven't liked him from the start. There have been so many times that I wished something bad would happen to him for all the grief he has caused for Flint, Steel, Iron, Ice & their wives. Thankfully, Coal was spared but I think it was because Zorus recognized a kindred spirit that had been through somewhat the same thing Zorus had when he was originally on Earth. But, I have to say, this was a great book! Charlie had me laughing out loud with how she didn't take any crap from Zorus and how confounded Zorus was with what she said & how she acted. We finally found out what happened to Zorus to make him the way he is and I actually felt really bad for him & I could understand why he turned out the way he did. The sex was in the previous books, so if you're one of those types that's offended with really great, graphic sex you might not want to read this series (though you'll be missing out on some great books). I was sad, crying, happy, relieved and had so much more in-between emotions that I could not put the story down until I had finished it (which was at 1:00AM and I had to be up at 5:00AM to get to work by 6:45AM). I was very pleased with the way the story ended, too. We'll obviously have more stories to look forward to (Sky, Onyx, Krell to name just a few). I would recommend though that any newcomers to the Cyborg series be sure to read it in the order it was written to fully understand what's going on (Burning Flint, Kissing Steel, Melting Iron, Touching Ice, Stealing Coal and Redeeming Zorus). Check out the Zorn Warriors series by this same author. It's another great series you don't want to miss!

5.0 out of 5 stars Hard to put down and definitely a keeper... August 30, 2011
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I loved this book. It has a bit of everything - action, plot, a smoking hot alpha male that even though he fights it, recognizes a good woman when he's got her in his clutches. I thought this was a great addition to this series and would recommend it highly.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great read! February 16, 2013

So glad I kept reading this series even though I did not like the first few books. Only with Stealing Coal did the female characters start acting like adults and not spoiled little girls. With the character of Charlie, our heroine, we have a fully developed woman who doesn't need Zorus, the bad boy, human hating cyborg, to make you want to know more about her. By being strong, Charlie is the character that drives the story. Thank you for such a great woman character.

5.0 out of 5 stars Zorus: A hardhearted cyborg with a kind heart January 20, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
In the previous books of the series Zorus was a cold hearted cyborg who hated all humans and I did not liked him. After reading this story I forgave him for his misdeeds. Zorus goes through an introspective process in which he realizes that there is more in life than hate. He learns to discern and learns to love. He also learns and suffers the consequences of his past actions.

Classification: SCI-FI Erotic Romance
Reader warning: There are violent scenes and a rape attempt.

5.0 out of 5 stars The impossible became possible December 27, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
To be quite honest Zorus appeared to be the biggest jerk of the series and I was unsure how he could be Redeemed. While I think the "conversion" was a bit too easy, in the end it worked and I love the book. There has been enough back-story that as long as you read them in order, you will be quickly drawn into the plight of each hero and/or heroine. Cyborg Seduction has become one of my Top 10 Series of all time. It has a unique premise that I had not seen before so became a refreshing change from the Vamp and Were story-lines commonly found. I highly reccommend you give these sexy Cyborgs a chance if you haven't already.

This made for a action packed read. While I liked it ok I just never felt a connection to the hero and heroine. They just seemed to lack much depth.

More About the Author

NY Times and USA Today Bestselling Author

I'm a full time wife, mother, and author. I've been lucky enough to have spent over two decades with the love of my life and look forward to many, many more years with Mr. Laurann. I'm addicted to iced coffee, the occasional candy bar (or two), and trying to get at least five hours of sleep at night.

I love to write all kinds of stories. I think the best part about writing is the fact that real life is always uncertain, always tossing things at us that we have no control over, but when your write you can make sure there's always a happy ending. I love that about being an author. My favorite part is when I sit down at my computer desk, put on my headphones to listen to loud music to block out everything around me, so I can create worlds in front of me.
