All I can say is....WOW! I was anxiously awaiting Zorus's story and the author did not disappoint me. I wondered how in the world would Zorus ever allow himself to become attached to a human female and why would a human female ever want to help him. I really haven't liked him from the start. There have been so many times that I wished something bad would happen to him for all the grief he has caused for Flint, Steel, Iron, Ice & their wives. Thankfully, Coal was spared but I think it was because Zorus recognized a kindred spirit that had been through somewhat the same thing Zorus had when he was originally on Earth. But, I have to say, this was a great book! Charlie had me laughing out loud with how she didn't take any crap from Zorus and how confounded Zorus was with what she said & how she acted. We finally found out what happened to Zorus to make him the way he is and I actually felt really bad for him & I could understand why he turned out the way he did. The sex was HOT....as in the previous books, so if you're one of those types that's offended with really great, graphic sex you might not want to read this series (though you'll be missing out on some great books). I was sad, crying, happy, relieved and had so much more in-between emotions that I could not put the story down until I had finished it (which was at 1:00AM and I had to be up at 5:00AM to get to work by 6:45AM). I was very pleased with the way the story ended, too. We'll obviously have more stories to look forward to (Sky, Onyx, Krell to name just a few). I would recommend though that any newcomers to the Cyborg series be sure to read it in the order it was written to fully understand what's going on (Burning Flint, Kissing Steel, Melting Iron, Touching Ice, Stealing Coal and Redeeming Zorus). Check out the Zorn Warriors series by this same author. It's another great series you don't want to miss!
