3.0 out of 5 stars Give the man some respect ...
I admit, Benzino is no lyrical king or anything, but he is just as lyrically talented as most other underated or mainstream rappers out there today! This cd Redemption has got some bumpin' beats though and some good guest appearences. "Rock the party" is by far probably the best track on the cd and there are about five other good ones. If it weren't for the beats though,...

Yo on the real I like Eminem too but I am really feeling this cd. And liking Eminem should prohibit you from aknowledging that Benizno came with some heat. Benzino ain't no lyrical master but neither is 50 Cent and he sold a sh*t load of cd's. What Benzino does that's good is putting together good concept for songs, great production and then adds great collabos. Now I don't care how much hate you have for somebody, when you do that you have hot songs and a solid album. This cd was realy one of my favorates of 2003.

This is a really a solid album. There is only like 2 songs I wasn't feeling. People have really been all over Benzino's back because of the Eminem battle, but Benzino has dropped a good album.

5.0 out of 5 stars They're All Haters, February 12, 2003
This review is from: Redemption (Audio CD)
if you're looking to buy this album but cant decide... BUY IT, dont be fooled by these bums who gave it 1 or 2 stars just because they be in love with eminem and dislike anyone who disses him, this is a dope album so dont be pursuaded not to buy it because of some geeks who are attached to the hip with eminem, i mean i like eminem and all but i hate these people who say benzino sucks just because eminem said he sucks, its like pac with mobb deep, everyone was like o ya mobb sucks now WHY? ya cause pac said so, not a good enough reason to screw zino over on respect. buy it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent, October 15, 2003
This review is from: Redemption (Audio CD)
Benzino is a average rapper, but he has put out a excellent album. This album is very similar to 50 Cent's Get Rich or Die Trying or Dr. Dre's The Chronic. All these rappers are lycrically even. And neither one is considered to be the greatest lyricist or the WORST. They fall in the middle. But that didn't stop them from droping exceptional albums!!! They used great concept songs and INCREDIBLE production. And Benzino's Redemption follows the formula's from 50 Cent and Dre perfectly. The production on Redemption is FLAWLESS! And Benzino gives you the perfect mixture of Party songs and Gangsta songs. And he has a superstar lineup of guest appearences.

This album is not a classic and niether a Club record cd.....The tracks are pretty good......but his first album in my opinion was a little better....Still....Benz got dope joints on this album.......track 2,3,7,9,12,15,16, are all examples of "YEA, This is hot"......whereas the others just same ol'. Well....watevea u do......This album should be quite high off in ure collection, cause i know that it is in mine.....And rap fans got similar taste..rite? G-UNIT!

Benzino comes with FIRE. This album has plenty of great songs. You should already know about Rock The Party and Would You both songs are great and I loved the video's. But there's more good songs then just those, Hoola Hoop, Call My Name, Different Kind of lady, 44 Cal. Killer and Make you wanna holla are all exceptional songs. There are a couple of songs that aren't as good as others but there is no Horrible track, and that is rare now a days. And some of the best beats I've heard in a album.
