Review
"Dr. Goldstein demonstrates his ability to develop a plot that forces us to hold our attention to the theme, the story line, and the characters in his book, 'The Redemption'. The reader discovers that his portrayal of the characters and the progression of the underlying theme produce a book that deals with more than the Holocaust but renders a "treatise" that people are more alike than different and that those of us who hold to positive principles can even become heroic in our endeavors. The author enhances the book by writing with clarity and making his characters round and believable." --
Dr. Richard Calef, Chair, Psychology Dept., West Virginia Wesleyan, Buckhannon, W. Va"From hope's uplifting point of view, Prof. Goldstein adeptly fashions a contemporary tale of love's risky transcendence over cultural and historic barriers. He plumbs the narrative depths of deeply bitter Holocaust atrocities, along the way challenging the reader to ponder our inescapable human condition which ever hampers our ability to accept human beings while reserving our right to condemn blatant expressions of malice. Here is a book relentlessly searching for the redemptive power of forgiveness latent in us all. He is to be applauded for his compassionate courage to rush in where more timid angels fear to tread and be congratulated for reminding us that 'hope springs eternal'." --
Rev Dr. Peter Kakos, Edwards Church, Northampton, MA."We are indeed fortunate to have a writer like Wallace Goldstein authoring a book that depicts the horrors of the Holocaust and at the same time teaching us that we must not permit ourselves to lose our capacity for understanding. The book will make it clear to those who question the occurrence of the Holocaust that it not only took place but had ramifications that affected all of humanity. He writes with passion and clarity." --
