Fabulous heat touching tale!, November 1, 2005
This review is from: Redemption (Paperback)
Morgan Leshay's REDEMPTION combines the perfect blend of mystery, romance, suspense, and humor. I was quickly drawn into the story by the characters' personalities that shine through the pages. Devlin and Tian both desire each other but Devlin's belief that his "black soul" will dirty his angel keeps him from consummating their marriage. Throw in Devlin's friends and his ex-mistress, Tian's inheritance, along with her parent's history and the estrangement from her grandfather and you have a fabulous story that you won't be able to put down. This book is far more than a simple love story, it's a lesson in REDEMPTION and the `angel' that redeems one man who thought himself unworthy of her love.

just not good., January 11, 2007

The plot makes no sense at all. It's read like a teenage girl's day dream.

Enjoyable., February 13, 2006
This review is from: Redemption (Paperback)
Devlin Montaign, Viscount Syndale, is one of the most notorious rakes around. He is known by most as "Lord Syn". Dev has been in the process of purchasing the old Valholen monastery for quite some time now. All that is left tor Dev to do is sign on the line. That is exactly when the cleric, Mr. Grigory, informs Dev that there is one extra item that MUST be done. Lord Syn must marry Lady Tian, the resident ghost that travelers call the St. Valentine's Angel. Devlin surprises everyone, including himself, by agreeing.
Lady Tian has been living at the monastery for quiet some time now. Only Grigory knows that she is there, as well as, who the lady really is. For several years travelers who have stayed over night at Valholen have spoken about the angel that appears and gives advice. But Devlin never believed any of it. Upon meeting Lady Tian, he could almost believe an angel has actually descended from the heavens just for him. But unknown to them, not everyone is happy about the union.
**** A wonderful regency tale with a bit of suspense thrown in. I found Tian to be very delightful, a mixture of innocence and cunning. However, I believe Lord Syn gave into his feelings for his angel way too easily considering how dark his past is said to be. The author added in a few secondary characters, friends of Dev's, that are an odd bunch indeed. One of these is Lord Merrick. He comes across as even more a rogue than Dev. I look forward to reading his story some day. If you are looking for an enchanting romance with some suspense and surprises, then this is the title you should look up. Recommended! ****
