Book Description

It’s a different world. Space has been colonized, the wealthy fly to work rather than drive, and slavery is legal.

Jason’s family has been ripped apart by tragedy. The only way he can save the ones left is to offer himself up as a bondmate. The more he’s willing to give, the higher the price he can command. And Jason is willing to give a lot.

Devin is wealthy and heartbroken after the wife he adored walked out on him. He isn’t looking for love. All he wants is a relationship he can control. Buying a bondmate seems like the perfect solution.

Yet when he purchases Jason’s contract, Devin gets more than he bargained for.

3.0 out of 5 stars Beg to differ April 27, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition
Due to so many high ratings, I didn't hesitate to purchase this story. And the truth is that at this cost, there wasn't much risk. Nevertheless, I was very disappointed. For a story where a guy lost his mother, father and brother to murder - then the rest of his family had to run - then he had to sell himself into slavery, which included sexual slavery to a man when he had never had male/male experience....... Where was the angst???? The whole situation is unrealistic and frankly boring. The writer is fairly decent and the characters had potential, but this story does not deliver. Try something by Rachel Haimowitz for comparison or read The Island by Lisa Henry.

3.0 out of 5 stars disappointing - spoilers ahead May 3, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition
Spoilers ahead

I really liked the start of this story, the idea that people would voluntarily sell themselves as bond servants, the idea of who would buy them, all these rich juicy motivations. I liked Jason's quiet resolve and Devin's tempered curiosity and how neither really knew how to handle the situation. So the first third was very good. Then a few things started to niggle, things were moving awfully fast and I thought to myself, I'll just pretend that this book takes place over 6 months rather than 3 weeks... but the last third of this book just blew it out of the water for me, it shifted from intriguing erotic romance to silly adventures story where the wounded hero leaves his hospital bed to rescue his true love, and the action was both distracting and unnecessary. There was enough plot and tension without resorting to it and I just sighed. I got this free as a prime member but I'm returning it, it just didn't work at all for me. I think it had the potential to be something quite wonderful but went way off track and became something rather silly instead.

I read it to the end, so that's an automatic 3 stars for me, but I don't think it's a keeper nor will I reread. Shame, because it could have really been something...

5.0 out of 5 stars Please give us more!!! April 20, 2012

This story was simply amazing! It had me hooked from the first page. I got so intertwined with Jason and Devins lives that for two days I disappeard from the world. This story is the perfect balance of love and inner desire. As a reader knowing how each character feels, I found my self willing Jason And Devin together from the beginning. You can tell when a book becomes a good read and that's when you laugh and cry with the characters. This book has all those aspects of love and loss and the ending left me invested in their future. Please give us more from Jason and Devin. Thank You

I started Redemption hesitantly. I've become more and more burned by gay books lately, especially those with a hot skin shot on the cover. I was very pleasantly surprised. Read more
