These adjectives apply to both Jude himself and his last album. After some difficult times and a change of label before the previous album "Sarah", Jude is back with a new opus, lighter than anything he's written before and always as enjoyable.

Compared to "No one is really beautiful" his absolute masterpiece, "Redemption" is a notch lower but still, after such "brillantissimes" beginnings it's hard to do better. The song writting is always of exquisite quality, the lyrics are somewhat more superficial than in previous works but reveal like treasures great lines and sligtly bitter insights on life, love ...

Jude's voice is as usual velvety smooth and stirs up secret pains and pleasures, while he effortlessly he reaches high stops, he touches the listener deep. The frivolous romantic tone of many of the songs make it the perfect "chick album" (take note you guys it might help for B-day) but both sexes should be pleased by these catchy (yet sophisticated) tunes and smart "double entendre", making women dream and men smile at the description of their bad habits.

In addition to this album I highly recomand listining to "No One is really Beautiful" and "Sarah" also by Jude as well as Tom McRae's albums' "Tom McRae" and "Just like blood".

Both these song writters enjoy popularity with the French audience but are still too confidential in the US, give it a shot.
