Emotional, heart racing and passion-filled,
By Reader Woman "The Book Diva" (New York) - See all my reviews

It takes a talented author to so thoroughly and astoundingly redeem a man who had been seemingly so-oo utterly un-redeemable. Ann Christopher is just that skilled an author and she creates a read that is both heart-stopping and heart-rending. Watching Beau and Jillian work to put their marriage and family back together again will take readers through the ringer emotionally and leave them with a smile. It's hard to pick an Ann Christopher favorite because her novels just keep getting better and better. But REDEMPTION'S KISS surely earns its place on the keeper shelf. Kudos, Ann Christopher! This book is a must read.

Amazing story about a husband's betrayal and after a almost life ending accident realizes what is most important to him. Will his wife forgive him or will she too realize that some of her actions may have caused the end of their marriage. Great story and very emotional. Perfect title to this amazing story. Loved it!

I didn't like Beau and I never thought I would end up cheering for him. So, Ann Christopher decided to make me a liar with this novel. Once I picked it up, I couldn't put it down. What I loved most about this book was Jillian's character. She didn't come across as weak at all and that was an amazing feat by Ms. Christopher. When you take a flawed man and make him a HERO--you are the woman. Do yourself a favor and pick up this book.

What can I say. 5 stars for this gem..I started out hating Beau and by the end of the book I was rooting for him! I especially loved that Jillian was not a doormat. She divorced the cheating sack and got on with her life. The author portrayed all the anger and rage a normal woman feels when faced with a cheating spouse. And the amount of grovelling Beau did was perfect. When he announced that he wanted her back no matter how many men she dated, no matter how many men she slept with, even if it took him the rest of his life to get her back...Well what can I say but WOW!

Ann Christopher, you are amazing!!! I hated Beau Taylor in Campaign for Seduction, and when I saw this book, I couldn't believe that you would be reuniting Beau and Jillian. I bought the book because I can't resist anything you write, but I was certain that my perception of Beau wouldn't change. Boy, was I wrong! I cannot believe that you actually redeemed that guy and I was rooting for him. Unbelievable!Another good one from Ann Christopher. Really cute supporting cast of characters and a nice appearance by the President and First Lady. Can't wait to read Dawson's story.

Seriously, I don't know what happened here. I generally enjoy Ann's books, but this one... well... sucked. The premise is not new, but it is a tough one to pull off---a lying cheating self-centered "hero" survives a life threatening accident and has an epiphany about the need to change his life. So he goes off to reclaim his estranged ex-wife (whom he supposedly still loves, in spite of the first scene of the book being him having sex in a car with some other chick. I'll be honest, you just don't do that in the types of romance I choose to read). Long story short, I didn't buy his redemption. I didn't think he was portrayed as a reformed person who deserved a "3rd" chance. There was too much evidence of his continued selfishness. Also Jillian, the heroine, needed a smack to the side of the head for not listening to her brother. I spent much of the book wanting to shake her because she devoted most of her time thinking with her hormones instead of her head. I hated this book. If you must read it get it from the library. Don't pay for this.

This was such a teriffic read. I just wanted to hate Beau, but he slowly but surely broke me down and made me love him just as he did Jillian. This book reminds you that this story happens so many times in the real world, and it just keeps you rooting for this two to make it through. I so loved it, and can't wait to read Ann's next book.

Love can be restored!,

Jillian and Beau were first introduced in Campaign for Seduction. When I realized the author planned to write Beau's story, I was wondering how Mrs. Christopher would redeem him in the readers' eyes. We witnessed firsthand how his indiscretions became public, humiliated his wife, and destroyed his marriage. How was the author going to make me believe that THIS marriage, full of infidelity and lies, along with hurt and anger, could be restored? Well, let me tell you that the author made me rethink the power of love and redemption with this story. In the beginning of the story, we start out skeptical of Beau and his intentions to reform. Is he sincere? Is he making sustainable changes or only saying all of the right things? Then there's Jillian. We saw her quiet strength in the last story when she made the decision to end her marriage to Beau, just after finding out that she was pregnant. Being a connoisseur of romance novels (owning well over 300), it's rare that you read a phoenix story in this genre, in which infidelity is a major obstacle and the hero is so obviously flawed. So this was a very refreshing read.
What I love most about this story is how real the characters are. I can understand how a near death experience would make someone reconsider their lifestyle and the decisions they've made. I can also understand Jillian's reluctance to trust Beau, having "forgiven" him numerous times in the past for previous infidelities. We also learn that there are more skeletons in their marital closet and Jillian's not completely innocent in the demise of their marriage. Throughout the story the ambivalence experienced by both characters is palpable and profound. But most importantly, the love they share is genuine because it perseveres in spite of all of their obstacles and the turbulence surrounding their past. It was also fun revisiting John and Liza from Campaign for Seduction (another great read that's the prequel to this book, though both stories stand on their own). Buy this book!

I love all of Ann Christopher romance novels. Her plots are original and interesting. If you have read her other books involving the Warners, than this is a wonderful addition.
