Her biological parents were his foster parents on the New Mexico rez. He protected her because a young female Anglo could never be fully safe. When she was only sixteen, she was already his special "Fox" to Travis Redhawk, but he knew Katrina Johnson was still a girl on the brink of womanhood. Though they exchange blood to become blood siblings, he leaves the next day.

Six years later, she needs special protection, as she is to testify in court against Prescott, the thug who killed her biological and adoptive parents. Travis has returned as her bodyguard. However, someone in the U.S. Marshals office previously broke the code of silence and fingered her to her enemy. As he tries to keep her safe, they fall in love. However, any long-term relationship appears doomed, as she is a prime target of a very powerful foe.

Readers of contemporary Native American romances have something to cheer about with Aimee Thurlo's warm romantic intrigue, REDHAWK'S RETURN. The story line is filled with suspense-laden action and the traditions of the Navajo people. Travis is a hero and Katrina is an intrepid woman willing to risk all for love. If this tale is any example of Ms. Thurlo's "The Brothers of Rock Ridge" mini-series, starring the Redhawk siblings, readers have much to look forward to in their future novels.
