5.0 out of 5 stars Can be used as a Permanent Shade!
My wife and I purchased this as a temporary shade for our new home, to be used until we could agree on a permanent shade. It looked nice enough in our living room that we decided to keep it as a permanent shade (we have the fabric, not paper version). Overall, this is a fantastic value for ~$8. The only thing that makes this less than ideal is that you need to manually...

2.0 out of 5 stars Mixed feelings about this product
I have two windows in my apartment and bought two Redo-shades - one for each window. I put them up a couple of months ago, and I was thrilled with them at first. But I came home one day this week and noticed that one of the redi-shades fell down. So, I am happy about the shade that is still up, but rather unhappy about the one that fell down. Maybe it's a quality control...

These shades are absolutely wonderful and I love them! What a great idea for homes in "transition" (we're remodeling ours in order to put it on the market), or just for a thrifty and easy way to cover any windows.
I hope the inventor of these makes a lot of money!!

These are great. We have them in garage windows and I cannot believe how rich they look. No problem at all to install. For the price, even if they last a couple years, I would then replace them

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Blinds for Temporary Use! But be careful!, November 24, 2009
This review is from: Redi Shade 3102496 36-by-72-Inch Fabric Window Shade, White (Tools & Home Improvement)
My husband and I just moved into a hew house and I ordered a set of six blinds in order to ensure our privacy.

The blinds are great! They are easy to use, fairly easy to cut (I actually used my bread knife to do it)and they fit very well in the windows. Everyone who has seen them has commented that they look just like regular blinds.

** The only care I would suggest is when peeling off the cover to the sticky part - make sure you do not also peel off the glue with the plastic. I did that one time and almost ripped the blind apart. You have to peel carefully to make sure none of the glue is attached. Once it's clear, then it's very easy. Otherwise you run the risk of tearing the blind and/or not being able to actually use it.

This blind is easy to cut to size & easy to install. It works well in the window in a doorway at work (where we're not allowed to make any marks). The one thing I wish it had is a sticker on the bottom too. It is long enough to cover the window, but it bounces up unless we tape it down at the bottom.

5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect for Apartment, August 6, 2009

My boyfriend and I recently moved into an apartment with no blinds. He works nights, so he needs to sleep during the day. Even with the AC on the room wasn't cooling, so I saw these. They are perfect. I bought them for the bedroom first to check them out, despite the previous claim mine were shipped in a triangular box, the exact size of them (which i appreciated) They were easy to cut (marked with pencil, cut with utility knife i own) and we had them unpacked and hung in under 10 minutes. Light still gets in but it's cool and muted. They look fine (We actually got compliments from our family) The clips are fine for what they are,and we stretched them out to our 72" windows by clipping the end to the ledge on our window.

Overall great purchase, they were exactly what I expected. We are getting 3 more for the rest of the windows now!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great shades!, May 14, 2009
This review is from: Redi Shade 3102496 36-by-72-Inch Fabric Window Shade, White (Tools & Home Improvement)
We are currently renting and were asked not to put up curtains or blinds unless we used tension rods. We tried these shades and they work great. These are not room darkening (those are available but I have not tried them), but prevent people on the street looking right into our house. I like the light filtering but have used curtains in my son's room. They look great. We let the clips sit on the window sill so that they are hardly visible and we rarely raise the blinds. There were no other options at this price but we are very happy.

Put these up all over our new house. They work great! They are only temporary but they look nice enough that we can still entertain people at our house.
