Convenient, attractive,slightly flawed,

I have installed several redi shade one touch "snow" colored cellular shades. They are attractive, operate easily, and easy to install using the supplied brackets. Its the brackets though that are flawed. The screw holes are at the bottom of the bracket and on the top at the outer edge. If you don't have a window that is inset or flat molding surrounding the window the brackets must be shimmed to lie flat. 2 brackets are supplied (with screws) for each shade. A third bracket may be necessary to prevent a small sag of the shade top piece (which is foam filled). When I contacted the redi shade folks they sent me extra brackets at no-charge.All in all though, a nice and convenient product. I plan to install more. Also beware, max size of this product is 36" X 64"

Works but glue attachment doesn't,

These work as honeycomb shades but the glue attachments don't hold it in place. The provided brackets do work but the screws are poor quality.

I purchased two of these shades, and they were very easy to install and had a nice clean look to them. However, only three days after installing them the fabric on one of them completely detached from the top plastic portion and was basically useless. The customer service was very nice (hence 2 stars as opposed to one), and quickly sent me a replacement shade. However, in the interim between contacting them and waiting for the new shade to arrive, the second shade broke in exactly the same way! While the initial installation was quick and easy, the convenience has pretty much been negated by the hassle and annoyance of replacing them.

Great shade and easy to customize.
Looks just like the expensive ones but very reasonable price. I have installed them in a few rooms. They have been working great for 6 months now.

Nice look, provides insulation, but mechanism unreliable,

I have had the snow color shades in 3 rooms for about a year. They look nice and I like that the cellular design provides some insulation (though not as much as a double-layer honeycomb) while still letting enough light through to light up the room. Easy to install and very reasonable price, but the mechanism that raises and lowers the shade is unreliable; about half of my shades don't raise all the way and there is no way to raise them manually.

When I first saw these redi shades, on sale, in a store, I wasn't too sure about them. We were starting to remodel our home, and I knew I didn't want drapes or curtains to cover the new molding and rosettes. I purchased 3 room darkening white redi shades. After one room was finished, my husband hung the shades. It was very easy for him and he really liked them. He liked the idea of the push button and no cords. When I went back to the store to buy more, they had sold out. I started searching at other stores and couldn't find what I was looking for. Then I searched the internet until I found them at AMAZON.COM. Of course, I paid twice as much than the ones I purchased on sale, but they are worth every penny. My husband sometime has to work at night, sleeping in the daytime. In our bedroom, we left our old plain roll up shades behind the redi shades, to make the room darker when we needed to.
Of the 7 redi shades we have, we only had a problem with one. It came unglued from the top holder. My husband removed it, used liquid nails to glue it back and rehung it witout a problem.

I bought two of the room-darkening version of this shade and wrote a detailed explanation of how to install them. That review is here: Redi Shade Easy Touch Cellular Window Shade 36x64-Inch, Room Darkening White

I found the shades a bit hard to cut--the space in the cutting guide is over 1/8" wide so the knife had plenty of room to veer off at an angle (which mine did). The knife is not very sharp either. After hanging them and putting them in the "up" position I discovered that I had cut some of the shades at a slight angle. Hopefully this is not very noticeable to anyone else. Also, several of my shades were missing the sticky tape that you hang them with. I used some Command strip tapes to replace them. One of my Redi Shade tape strips came loose this morning (the shades have been up for less than a week). I stuck it back up and so far it's holding. If the tape fails I'll use the hanging brackets that came with the shades. One last minor annoyance. When I raise the shades, one side is usually higher than the other. I think the elastic cords are either different lengths or have varying degrees of elasticity. I can usually fix this by messing with them a bit but it's still a pain in the hiney-ho henny-ha. All in all, the shades peform well enough for the price I paid and look good.
