I purchased this vest based on the prior reviews it had received. I agree with these other reviews, the vest is very light weight, it dries very quickly and the pockets are well placed. There were two complaints about this vest in prior reviews, the velcro and the zippers. I have not experienced any problems with the velcro yet although I have been using it for almost a month now (6 or 7 days of fishing). The zippers on the large pockets are difficult to use. They are small, they do not open or close easily, especially with one hand. In addition, the opening for those large pockets is so large that if your not paying attention when you open the zipper, you could easily lose all of the contents in the pocket because it will open up completely.

I purchased this fishing vest to relace an old zipper style for a late Fall trip to the wild trout area on the East Carson River (incidently, just north of the Clark Fork). I like the one snap closure. It is light-weight, breathes well (and dries, too), and has reasonably-sized pockets. My only complaint is that the vest I received had one pocket where a side of the velcro closure was missing. Fortunately, my brother had some spare material and I sewed a new piece on at camp the first evening(a great spot close to Hangman's Bridge with piped water at each site). Now it is better than new! Cannot give it Five-Stars due to the QC problem, but for the price it is very nice.

The vest fits well and has a good layout of pockets. Its well vented, dries quickly and doesnt get heavy when wet. After one season of wading the schuylkill river (30 walks), everything still works. Im worried about the small zippers, they get used a lot while wading. For the price, this is a weekender's dream.

The vest works great, it holds my lures carrying case, and various sundry items. Dries quickly, a great item at a great price!!!

Most of my fly fishing is done in the warm waters of Texas, so I wanted a breatheable vest that would't make me sweat. It has enough storage for extra reel spools, tippet, fly boxes, etc. It is also well made. The materials are of a high quality, and it feels durable. I like the padded collar especially. Sizing is a bit weird, though. I'm 6', 180lbs, so normally I wear a large, but a XL is too big. I was nervous ordering the size L/XL, but it fits well over my fishing shirt. It would probably fit over a jacket as well, but I probably won't be doing that. I have seen vests that cost twice as much, that were not as well made or comfortable.

I bought this fishing vest for my grandson's 7th birthday. He loves to fish and wanted to be a fisherman for Halloween. I was confused when first ordering since I googled youth fishing vests and saw sizes that started with small/medium and then a separate place for extra small. I thought the small/medium was also for youth. When I received the first one I had to returned it since it was way too big(had to pay return postage)and phoned company to find out about correct size to order. I was thrilled when the correct size was received. My grandson's face said it all when he saw his vest -- he is the cutest fisherman I have ever seen.

Never got my vest!!! I was disappointed when I ordered this it was in stock and then weeks later I was told it did not ship do to out of stock!

This was the first fishing vest I've used so I'm not really sure what else is out there but I really have no complains about this particular model. I ordered the large and it's a little big on me (6'1", 200lbs at the time) but this has actually been an advantage for fishing in colder weather over my jacket. The chest pockets fit the smaller Plano clear boxes but it's a bit of a snug fit. I only gave it 4/5 because it didn't "blow me away".

Good quality and good value for the money. It is comfortable and I would not only buy again myself, but recommend to family & friends.
