I had no trouble installing it, but I can see how it might not fit every bike. I put it on a 20" BMX. It doesn't feel as secure as one that comes with a bike, but it has stayed on for a few rides so far. Extra brackets to fit a variety of frames.

Good price and hard to find product.

The chain guard works great and it arrived at a great time. My son will not rip anymore pants now.

The photo with several brackets for this item is misleading and incorrect. I recently ordered this item and it came with only three brackets. One of them is the very large diameter bracket and does not fit the small Redline BMX bike that I bought this for. I contacted the Niagara Cycle Works asked for the remaining brackets and they said "Sorry, the photos is just for show". So, the bottom line is - this item without the assortment of brackets is unlikely to mount properly to a small Redline BMX bike and the Niagar Cycle Works does not care. I asked Niagara Cycle Works to update their photo, or at least state the fact there are only three brackets - No response or action. Other reviewers indicated that it came with extra brackets, but not anymore! Buyer Beware!

Liked this a lot. It did the job and helped my son ride his bike more. Easy to install even with a few zip ties to assist in the job.

Overall, seems pretty decent. Keep in mind you may have to modify it a bit. It's fairly thin, soft plastic, so it's easy to cut. The front portion fit well on my 5-year-old's Redline BMX bike but I had to cut off the rear and drill a new mounting hole to fit it in the frame. At least it worked and I won't have to get the grease out of his pants.

Works fine,it's what you expect from a piece of cheap plastic,but it makes a $150 bike functional for my son.I think the ease of installation is what makes it so flimsy.

This chainguard does not fit all BMX bikes. It was missing a screw.

The Redline chainguard was shipped to me in a timely fashion and was very easy to install. I will order parts if needed from this company again because the transaction was very satisfactory.
