I bought this scale to weigh cats. It is perfect for that. It is large enough and curved for them to snuggle on it and get an accurate weight. It is sturdy and easy to use. The only down-side is that it is large to store. I recommend keeping the box. I got it back out of the trash. It is easy to slip under a piece of furniture to tuck it out of the way. Great product for the price!

If you're looking for a digital scale with great accuracy, this isn't it. It works alright, but only as a close estimation. We laid a blanket on the scale to make it softer for the babe, and it didn't even register as weighing anything, but it was a heavy fleece blanket, it certainly did weigh a few ounces. Her weight also registers the same whether she's clothed or not, etc. If I'd had a chance to test it out, I'd have chosen a different scale - the low price is reflected by a lower quality.

We purchased this scale after a lot of searching and reading reviews. We made the right choice and are happy with this product. It's used to weigh our cat who has to have his weight monitored so we know when things are turning for the worse. The 1/4 oz digital calc is a plus. I found I can tare the weight while he lounges on it unsuspectingly and when he gets off I get the same accurate weight as a negative figure. Makes us both happy. The price was great without compromising quality. Oh, its slim profile is easy to store too!

I purchased this scale to weigh kittens, as I'm a foster home for our local cat shelter and need their weights in order to determine how to dose them for medications. I have a 3 pound kitten and the scale won't even register any weight. I found I need to have at least 5 lbs. on it in order to see a reading, so I'll be returning this scale as defective.

I bought this scale to weigh my diabetic cat. Weighing a 5 pound weight, it would give a consistent weight only 2 out of 7 tries. Ditto with an 8 pound weight. Not once did it register 5 pounds or 8 pounds. My bathroom scale is more accurate than this scale. I'm returning it and I advise others not to waste your time and money.

You may call this a Digital Infant Scale, but to me it is my new puppy scale. For many years I have bred the Toy Fox Terrier. As the pups are born I weigh them on a small vegetable scale. This is fine when they weigh 4 oz., but as they grow it becomes difficult to fit them in the small dish on top. This scale is beyond perfect. Being flat the puppies can either stand or lay down to be weighed in. They feel secure and the digital is easy to read. Weighing my adult dogs is easy too. I store it in the box under my guest bed. It's out of sight when not in use, but available when needed. Wish I had invested in this years ago.

I purchased this to weigh my cat who is on a diet. She needs to lose about an ounce a week, so I was glad that this weighed in half ounce increments.

The issue I have is that I'm not sure if I trust the weight provided. I weighed her once and she was 9 lbs. 9 oz, and then a half hour later she was 9 lbs. 10 oz. In normal circumstances I would say it's good enough, but when I'm supposed to track by ounce and modify her diet based on what works, it's a bit tough.

The product far exceded my expectations. The description was lacking information regarding the product. It displays up to 44 lbs.in 1/2 lb increments and it also needs 4 batteries to operate.

we have two cats and they started getting heavy. we purchased this scale to try and get their weight down. the scale really works well,the cats just sit there because the scale is wide and gives them security by not moving. i would buy this scale again.

I'm not sure the makers actually tried putting a live baby on this scale, because any time our baby moves, the numbers jump around +/- 4 ounces. When you're feeding the baby about 4 ounces and want to verify the feed, that margin of error is killer. It may be fine of you're going to weigh a baby once a month, but it's no where near accurate enough to verify milk intake on a daily basis.
