Loved It!, October 18, 2009
This review is from: Redneck Cinderella (Signet Eclipse) (Paperback)
My Thoughts: Another great wonderful take my breath away book. I just love these romance books and I keep finding ones that satisfy my hunger for romance. This book did just that. Cody is the guy everyone wants, his the popular, never would give me the time of day type of guy. And yet the main girl Jolie who reminds me of myself in a lot of ways goes after him even though she believes its worthless and pointless! She's a honky tonk girl who isn't into designer clothes and fancy cars while he has those things and is the town's number one bachelor. She is clumsy and shy but has enough courage to push him into the swimming pool. This book gives you that heartfelt feeling plus makes you want to burst out laughing! I have read a few other LuAnn McLane books and she is just wonderful! They are light but a lot of fun to read. This one kept me up late and night wanting to know what happens. Does Jolie end up with Cody or his super cute brother who she spends time with discussing and analyzing Cody! I definately recommend this book, its one to read in bed with a cup of hot chocolate or down at the beach getting a tan! A Must Read if you enjoy romance books! (Reviewed by Princess Bookie)

LuAnn sure does know how to write!, August 3, 2009
This review is from: Redneck Cinderella (Signet Eclipse) (Paperback)
This book was a lot of fun. If you are a Southern girl at heart, and are looking for something good to read, I suggest you put a rush on your order!
It is laugh out loud funny and absolutely ridonculous! If you are looking for something to read while sitting in a library, this might not be a good choice for you, unless you really don't care if you disturb your neighbors and are asked to leave the premises.
Overall, it was a great book, with just enough "sugar and spice"! If you have ever read any other books of LuAnn's and loved them, you won't be disappointed.

Redneck Cinderella, December 11, 2009
When Dean Development makes an offer on the farm, so to speak, Jolie Russell talks her father into accepting the offer. He does. On the condition that they will have a house in the new housing development. Widower Wyatt Russell refuses to leave the land where he spent so many years with his wife. Arrangements made, house built, life is fine. Or is it?
Jolie and her father just don't really fit in with the social class that lives in the houses around her. She has a serious lack of social skills but after yet another disaster, Jolie gets some help from Brett Dean, who suggests that one, his brother Cody has a thing for her and two, he can arrange for an etiquette coach to help her overcome her lack of social skills.
She'd like to believe the first suggestion but she really needs the second suggestion to even have a chance with Cody. Enter Miss Abigail. Like an advancing army, this unlikely fairy godmother, begins to whip Jolie into shape. It is important to Jolie to be a part of Cody's world and she wants to be the kind of woman he needs for his place in society.
Jolie is falling for Cody hard and fast. In the moment of truth can she fit in? Does she want to? This is Cody's life and she doesn't want to change. She is who she is. And it's time to show the world. Who cares about fitting in? Jolie wants to stand out.
Humor and emotion work together in LuAnn McLane's Redneck Cinderella to keep you reading. The characters are amazing. All of them are well developed and I felt like I knew them as I read. From Jolie and her father, Wyatt to Jolie's best friend Carletta and etiquette coach Abigail to Cody and Brett Dean, I loved them all. Even Jolie's rival for Cody's affections was memorable. From rags to riches, Jolie fights to keep herself while Cody fights to win her. Jolie is Cody's Redneck Cinderella. All that's missing is the pumpkin. It's a keeper.
