Keeps the coffee hot all day.

Something happened with the inner top piece because it won't stay closed without the spring shooting it off the top.

Now it barely keeps it warm for 4 hours.

There seem to be many negative comments about this particular product that I think are unfair - mostly because people seem to be using the product incorrectly.

I think this is a pretty darn good, but not great vacuum thermos. And it is a VACUUM thermos - meaning that there is an inner compartment and an outer shell, and the space between them is a vacuum - no air. This is why you cannot screw off the bottom for easy cleaning: it will ruin the thermal properties of the container that make it so great to me in the first place.

In my experience, the thermos absolutely lives up to its claim of 12 hours keeping food hot. I own two thermoses, one which I use for soup, and the other for tea. They keep the soup and tea "burn your tongue" hot for 9 hours (so long as the tea and soup were boiling hot when initially poured in) and "let it cool down for a second" hot for the full 12.

As for complaints of the top being difficult to drink out of...the pouring device is removable so that you can drink directly from the thermos if you wish. Drinking directly from the pouring spout seems to be an odd way to approach it. Also, the way this pouring spout is set up, you have to have it set to be "closed" before you screw it onto your tea. If you have it set to "open" when you screw it on, and then close it, some of the tea may enter the pouring apparatus. And the top of this pouring apparatus is in no way air tight, only the bottom is. So make sure the pouring device is "closed" BEFORE screwing it on. I have had no issues with leakage when doing this.

There are also complaints of there being a space between the cup and its plastic liner. I have personally not experienced any issues with this, perhaps the model I have is newer and that issue was fixed.

I use this flask at work to keep milk cold and I have found that it works great for that purpose. Especially if you add the round "reusable" ice cubes to the milk - they don't melt and it helps to keep the milk that much colder.

The design of this flask is not really meant for someone who wants to drink directly from the flask. Rather the top is meant to pour into something else, a cup, etc., and it works very well for that.

I have had my Reduce flask for a few months now and I have been very happy with it. The only thing I am concerned about is finding replacement O-rings and the gasket it uses. Reduce being a little known brand I have not been able to find the replacement seals. Whereas brands such as Stanley or Thermos getting a replacement gasket is not a problem.

As an FYI the plastic top is made of two parts that screw together. When cleaning the top should be taken apart so it can be properly cleaned and dry out.

If you are looking for a flask to drink directly out of, I would not recommend this product. If you want to "store-and-pour" this is a good option. And yes the top does work as a drink cup.

I hope this was helpful to someone out there.

Peace.

I can't believe that no one thought of this before. What a perfect thermos. I never have to open it until I need to refill it. The liquid inside stays the temperature I want for half a day easily. It's perfect for my husband and I since we are often out for the day and like to keep our our liquids with us instead of depending on what is available.
I have owned many thermos before, but in the future,I will only buy this one for as long as they make it!

This is just the right size. Keeps everything hot or cold. Love it and would reccommend this to anyone who wants a smaller vacuum flask.

This one is actually pretty good. The seal is still intact after diswahing it. It definately keeps things warm for a while. It's a nice looking one that will fit into my big purse and does not leak.

This is a surprisingly great thermos. The design is a little different than the push-top thermos design; and in fact I like it more for a few reasons.

1) Rather than the circular push in top of the thermos design, this has a little half circle push in, which opens another half circle flap to pour from. Effectively, it is heigher than the thermos design, so when you push on the cap you automatically close the thermos. This isn't always the case with other designs I've used. Bear in mind it's not optimized for "pour any from any direction" but that doesn't really matter to me. I don't know why it would be particularly useful to pour from any direction.

2) The insulated top part is slightly narrower and deeper than most other thermos designs. The top is where basically all of the heat loss of a thermos is. This design hasn't hindered any of my uses at all (equally easy to remove lost tea bag, ect). It's not too narrow, just slightly narrower. So by this design, it keeps more heat (has more insulation at the top).

3). This isn't a 'better than competitor' claim. This one is just that it's a great thermos that keeps things very warm. I've come back a day later from boiling tea and been shocked that it's still relatively warm. Keeps items hot for 12 hours at least.

It's very slightly wider than your traditional thermos. This is neither pro or con. I wonder if that's why it's 1 oz more than the standard thermos.

Second reduce thermos that I really liked. Bought it based off of good experience with the reduce soup thermos.
