We are only on chapter 8 and I just had to rush over here and recommend this guide, it has been invaluable so far!
We are enjoying this so much that I just ordered the teaching guide by the same author for "The Hobbit" and we'll do that next.

The guide goes through each chapter with summaries and thought provoking questions and discussion topics (all answers in the back of the guide) and it goes through strategies, plot, setting, maps and illustrations, characters, point of view, foreshadowing and flashback, imaging, dialogue, glossary/vocabulary listing for each book and much more!

It is supposed to be in the 'challenging level' (not sure what age group that would be probably around 9 and up) but I'm using it with my 8 year old and he understands everything so far. It has really helped him (and myself) to get a deeper understanding of the story and it's characters and setting.

All page references throughout this guide are for the Berkley edition of Redwall. But it really doesn't matter which edition you have, you can still use it and just figure out which page they are talking about, it shouldn't be too difficult if you go through the guide after each chapter that you read in the book.

We are loving this so much that we don't want it to end! I'd like to also recommend the "Redwall Map and Riddler."

A wonderful guide. Excellent vocabulary lists for each section, as well as excellent discussion questions, tests, and writing exercises.
